How does your game fit the theme?
In the game, there is an authoritarian entity known as the B.O.X. (short for Bureau Of Xenocontrol) whose jurisdiction the player must escape. A better phrasing for this game would be "Escape the B.O.X." The player's rebellion in general against the B.O.X. is also a way of getting "outside the box" in a less literal sense.

Really funny mechanic and definitely on-theme with bad ideas. I'd only wish it was a bit easier. I really liked the presentation and style of the game.
the gun mechanic is pretty awesome! some bugs here and there but hey, no ones perfect. pretty awesome game, goodjob.. (I enjoyed it)
Fun game I wish there was a little bit more variation in the wall texture because i would lose my bearings a lot. i loved that the actual reload forced you to strategic with when you reload not a timed animation

Really loved the game! Genuinely, the gun mechanic was so much fun. The only thing slightly killing it for me was how the audio completely cuts out after the first level. Good job overall!
This game was really fun to play. It was visual cool and I liked the reload mechanics. There were a few bugs, but it was overall really good.
Great bones for a game! I think by adding more matching mechanics, like different bullets/powerups this game could be absolutely peak. Of all the projects I've seen so far, I really hope you decide to keep working on this one, I loved the Doom styling!
This has a lot of potential if you continued to work on this. Like certain color matchings doing different things, enemies that can only be affected by certain colors, different puzzled guns. I think if you could find some way to allow the player to do the matching with only their keyboard it would feel a lot better than dragging your mouse, perhaps a sliding puzzle?
Very well executed! I love the idea and the mechanic is well implemented! The movement feels smooth, aside from being completely stopped on walls. The gun reload is awesome, but when I get multiple matches with one move I expected to get multiple bullets. Overall amazingly done and I really enjoyed it! I'm just wondering, why is the Linux version so much larger than the Windows and Mac versions? Just curiosity.
This was such a cool and creative concept! The only thing I found rough was that needing to reload constantly was just a teeny bit annoying, maybe more bullets total could help? Also I am such a sucker for the boomer shooter style, so I loved this! Great job!
Loved the gameplay of this game. Hiding in what you think is a safe area while solving the puzzle had a feeling of tension to it that I really liked. The one issue I had is that there were some problems with the audio either cutting out or playing what sounds like two of the same song playing at the same time. Other than that, it was a great time.
sick man why I didn't I think of this.
Your game has a weird revolver too! I liked it
What was the most hellish thing to code for your game?
Oh, absolutely the match-3 mechanic. Took me two weeks to get it right, and I had to compromise from my original plan.
hey i played your game. first i want to say i love pixel art 3d games. the thing about having to match colors to charge and shoot is brilliant. i think the game is fun and beautiful
