Describe the improvement that you have been working for this jam
This sprint focused on game feel and visual polish. The primary goals were to make items more readable during gameplay by showing remaining health and surfacing damage and value feedback on each click, and to make the world feel more alive through visual effects like item shards, water ripples, and an animated water shader that responds to the time of day. UI readability and upgrade visibility were also improved, and a balance pass was done to reduce click fatigue.
Describe your game in one sentence
Active Otter is a cozy 2D incremental game where you help an adorable sea otter crack open oysters to collect resources and evolve.
What feedback are you looking for
1. Did clicking and breaking items feel less tedious than previous builds? Why or why not?
2. Could you tell how much health an item had remaining? Did that change how you played?
3. Did you notice when upgrades were available? Was the purchase flow clear?
4. Did you like the water style? Was it pleasant or disorienting?
5. Any bugs, confusing moments, or frustrations?
