this game is super cool but the spawner was a bit hard to deal with :)
i have no bugs i forget to add stuff!
thanks for the review!
Decent game idea! Enemy variation is something good in this; plus a boss fight is always nice. That and the audio was quite enjoyable! I noticed how the music picked up as I went on, adaptive music is always a treat. My main complaint though is that I never really felt the need to do much other than hold the attack button; by doing so I felt like most of the game and its level design became very trivialized. I would maybe have an attack cooldown to avoid this! That would allow the enemies to approach you more, and thus give the shield more use cases.
In hindsight, I would have added more attacks and combos! Thanks for reviewing.
I like the game,, you get to beat box... which, is pretty cool imo,
I ALSO like the fact that it doesnt restart you from the start when you lose! checkpoints are appreciated, good job
thank you
I beat the box! I like the video submission you had to go along with this game, it was a pretty polished game and I liked that you had multiple different enemies that got harder as you progressed.
I will say adding maybe some pickups like a speed boost for the swinging could make the gameplay a little more dynamic. Also I turned up my mouse sensitivity all the way up and just held down the swing button and went crazy with it, which I think made the game a little more chaotic and fun if you haven't tried that
I was wondering in anyone was gonna find a chaos trick, nice job. Thanks for the review
Very cool game and I really like the art of your cardboard box, you nailed it. Great work!
Pretty simple to understand game, was fun but my hand got tired very quick from all the clicking and enemies spawn really quickly so I was stuck on the level with the 2 spawners LOL. Great job on the submission haha
Very nice game! While it was simple, it was fun. I eventually got stuck on the room that introduces the big boxes because they were given too much time to spawn and managed to fill that entire room. Overall good job :D
At first I thought it was kind of simple, but I got addicted really quick. The combat is so crunchy and the boss was balanced perfectly. It took me about 10-15 minutes to beat and 2 attempts on the final boss. thanks for the awesome game, my arm hurts.
Thank you so much for the nice review
I had fun playing the game, it added new things when the game got repetitive, only critique was that you can just wave the bat around you in circles and can't get hit, besides the, pretty fun beat em up, 7/10
Thanks for leaving a review and the feedback. This is my first game with unity so constructive criticism helps alot!
This game was a lot of fun! I do wish there were some power ups or better weapons for the attacks, later in the game there were a LOT of box enemies and I definitely wanted a stronger weapon. Overall, great job! I really enjoyed my time playing this one.
My original idea involved getting better weapons, but life stuff got in the way and I lost a week of development time. Thanks for the review and the feedback!
Really cool game! I did find the combat a bit unrewarding though, it was fun to beat boxes at first but then there was no reason to keep beating them after destroying their spawners (as I was a full hp).
I had multiple people test my game, some beat it super quickly, others took 25 minutes. If I could go back, I would make different difficulty modes . Thanks for the feedback!
