How does your game fit the theme?
The game starts off as you breaking outside of a box, now obtaining dark magic that you learn to control throughout the game! (This is most of our team's first game we have made, so sadly we have only implemented a basic combat system)

cool game! the art was great, the setup for the story was interesting and the combat was, while being quite simplistic with 1 attack for each character, good. The music was also great, but the transitions were so sudden without any fading of the music or a visual transition, which made for certain moments were the music felt kinda weird as it transtions suddenly and from fairly different tones. Also the combat ui showed characters at the bottom which were'nt my actual team. Hope this can become a full game one day, good job!

Developer

Glad you enjoyed the music we made! The looping will be properly programmed in later builds of the game as we'll be implementing custom looping code in later builds

I had a bug occur, which didnt crash the game so i thinks its fine (it was that monsters were on top eachother rather than next to eachother), however what I really think this game needs is some polishing on the dialogue. If i didnt watch the bad idea video then i would have no idea what was even happening, as the in game dialogue is quite vague and just leaves me not questioning but confused like i didnt understand what i read. On the positive though its good rpg has all the basics to make something great, and the art style is above par, i believe with more work something great could come of this game.

Developer

Hello! Yea the bug is SO unfortunate, and the dialog was last minute. I'm glad you liked the game other than those features, thanks for your reply! The message be passed along to the artists<3

Developer

Thank you so much! I'm really glad you liked the art! Don't worry, the final release of this game will be much more polished ^^
