How does your game fit the theme?
There are two ways my game fits the theme.
1) The goal of the game is to try and escape a dungeon, A dungeon holds things similar to how boxes hold things. There for the dungeon is a metaphor for a box that you are trying to get outside of... I guess.
2) The better and more unique way I feel is that my world that you are playing in isn't locked inside of boarders. You can walk infinitely in any 2D direction. My game is pretty much outside the box that is normal world boarders.

Cool character design and world building!!! I think the game would benefit from sort of tutorial at the beginning that is not just written out to make the gameplay more clear! But I think the world and the looping infinite world is an interesting concept.
Thanks for the comment man! I do agree that tutorial took me like 20 minutes and I just wanted to have something, If I had some more time I would have loved to make a more interactive tutorial. Glad you liked the world looping concept though!
This was a good game I didn't git vary far but I see the don't starve aspects.
I don't blame you honestly, thanks for trying at least!
Really cool game! I loved the creature designs and the atmosphere—it really draws you in. The lighting and animation are fantastic and give the game a lot of personality.
Gameplay felt a bit tricky at first, but once you get the hang of managing lantern fuel and exploring, it’s very engaging. Some bugs popped up for me too, but they didn’t stop me from enjoying it.
Great job overall! If you get a chance, I’d really appreciate it if you could check out my game too and leave some feedback.
Thanks for the comment man! glad you liked the atmosphere I'm very proud of that aspect of my game! And don't worry, I actually have already played you guy's game and I think added a comment not sure, but I know I liked it a lot!
First of all, I really loved your video pitch, it was well thought out and I liked all the original art you made for the video submission.
The art and sound design here are fantastic, I really do see the don't starve vibe you were going for here.
Sorry about the couple of bugs, but I do find your game to be really enjoyable and I just kept eating fruit every few moments and I was like dang it really in infinite.
This was an amazing game and I am glad I stumbled upon it, I hope you are able to continue working on this in the future so the full vision can be seen
Thanks so much for the comment! I'm glad you liked it even with the bugs. I have actually been thinking about making this game for a long time and this was my attempt to get a "complete" version out for people to see and for me to work farther on. I'm happy to see someone wants to see more, because there definitely should be!
The atmosphere is cool and i loved creatures designs, but as people mentioned below there are some game breaking bugs and the game feels slow. Also more surviving mechanics could make the gameplay more interesting. Loved the concept!
Thanks man! Glad you liked the atmosphere!
Cool idea! I pretty much died right away and I’m not even sure how 😅 then when I was looking for items the screen was almost completely black. Maybe I just got unlucky or ran into a bug, but it’s all good. I really liked the character design!
yeahhh I know the exact bug you found. I took this from don’t starve but when you are in the dark you die. However what is not like don’t starve is If you die to darkness I forgot to reset your lantern fuel. So you are just put in the dark again and if you don’t have any fruit to light your lantern back up you are just soft locked unless you want to randomly spam click the screen to find a fruit plant. Still glad you liked the art and if you want to try again that would be cool there is more you just got to keep your eye on your lantern fuel. I don’t blame you if not thanks for trying anyways!
Love it! Of course the art is a huge highlight. There where a number of bugs with the resting and lamb systems for me but I love the creature design and the main guy looks incredible! I think you would absolutely kill if you where able to dedicate all your time in a jam to the art (Including sfx and music) and where part of a team that could cover the other bases
thanks man! That means lot! However ironically the art is my least favorite part of game making… except for maybe music which I didn’t even do for this project… still I might have to think about that. Anyways! Thanks for the comment means a lot!
The artwork and character designs are absolutely amazing! While the game play itself was fairly simple and a tad buggy at times, that rarely stopped me from enjoying the vibes and sounds of this game. Awesome stuff!
That means a lot man thanks! Really wish you could have seen the real game with out the bugs though. Still that means a lot more than you think!
I loved the character design and animation for this - great vibes here! I got a kind of confused trying to figure out what to do and where to go, but the atmosphere was excellent. Nice work!
Thanks man! Yeah I'm not proud of my actual game play but I'm glad you liked the art and atmosphere!
God bless your animations they’re seriously amazing. The lighting system, kind of like Among Us, works really well and adds a lot to the atmosphere. At times some elements look like bars or obstacles when they’re actually just hanging from the ceiling, so maybe that could be a bit clearer by tweaking the layers, but the overall effect is still really cool.
The music is absolutely fantastic, and while the gameplay feels a bit slow at times, it’s solid overall. Keep up the great work! Also I’d love if you try the game we submitted :)))))
Thanks for playing man! I possibly maybe defiantly leaned too much into the art but I'm glad you like it. and yeah sorry about the y-sort I realized too late that that works like that. would have been easy to fix to. Anyways thanks again and I'm excited to see what you guys made!
