1.9 release date pleaseeeeeeee

I beggggg

(+3)

I mean Q1 is over in 9 days so hopefully soon. . .

我的意思是,第一季度还有9天就结束了,所以希望很快就能结束…… X2

The game features a large cast of characters and a rich storyline, and I love the art style.

I hope the CG gallery and character storylines will be updated soon.

Dr.Muramasa has mentioned on a number of occasions that any date or ETA is purely an aim and speculative. 1.9 will release when it is ready and could stretch into late late April depending on the development effort required and unforseen circumstances.

Yes, I would like to play it now like everyone else. But remember we only have two major releases left before the project is over. I would encourage Kal to take his time with these last two so they are busting with content for us to enjoy. The fat lady is coming to sing, do not push her off the stage...

(-3)

Is there a chance the game may get delayed to May by any chance?

Dr.Muramasa best person to answer that. But I think it looks like it making its way through the developer cycle with the WIP images shared on the Walkthrough document, so hopefully no too long to wait...

Kal likes to feature creep though, so if it does get delayed most likely means more content.

(-3)

Any estimation would be great

Please

(+2)

I still think it would be better to STOP putting a date on it because it gets pushed back everytime, and I mean everytime to the point that putting a date on it all that does is leads to more disapointment

(+2)

Aye agree, hoping dates stop and we just get a progress bar or a "Working Roundscape/Pre-Productions/Production/Testing" status moving forward. Would be nice to know where we are without putting a date on it...

Is this revised release date real?

Well I would not take it as 💯 just yet, but that looks to be the intent 🙌

OMG! OMG! OMG!

(+2)

Do take the given date as estimate please. I don't know how I can make it so no specific date is given... Kal just like chaos it seems.

So just take it as an estimate of the release date goal.

(+3)(-1)

If you can't even meet it, why bother setting this so-called estimated date? What is the point of this "estimated date" you keep talking about? You set your own standards yet fail to reach them—don't you find this contradictory? Players don't mind waiting for a good game to get better over time.We understand creators need time to finish their work.Everything before the final version is just testing. Even if you do release the latest update by the estimated date, can you guarantee it won't end up like previous versions, with all those alpha, beta, and endless patches?

(1 edit) (+2)(-1)

So here is the thing, nobody has said it cannot be met, you are jumping into that conclusion. What I meant was that I myself don't like specific given dates.

An estimate date is not a fixed deadline is just used to provide the users with the intended timeline to release. Kal wanted to give the people that was taking Q1 as end of March an estimate of his intended release time. If it takes longer, is usually due to adding more to the version than indented or because some game breaking bug appeared and is not being solved with ease. Failing to meet an estimated date is not a fail to reach standards, for the contrary, is to meet them, as you said yourself quality takes time.

In regard to the "endless patches", this is just regular software behavior, the reason it appears as "endless" getting to E version this las time is because of 2 things:
1. The scale of testing: a team of a couple of testers won't be able to compare to thousands of users playing because random anomalies can occur, some players might not go as intended and do some random thing that causes a bug, and well you see, if is a game breaking bug and is something that somehow others can hit, then it needs to be fixed.

2. The speed of the update with a solution to the problem: While others might decide to just "let the players play a month with these bugs and see if others appear, and just then work on release a fix", Starmaker usually will release its first fix some hours after some ppl hit a bug, and instead of waiting just take some timeframes like a day or couple of days and release another. 1.8A to 1.8B time difference cannot be taken into account for this since 1.8B released with some new content added to it.

Lastly, in software development there is no "guarantee" of perfection. Continued patches are if anything, a showing that the game is cared for and that the dev wants to deliver on the quality of it.

Hope that helps clear out your concern.

It's just like promising to start dieting and exercising tomorrow, only to come up with excuses and keep delaying it.

More like telling her you will be home in 30 minutes:

  1. You make it on time (5th April)
  2. You decide to pick her up some flowers on the way back, so you are bit late (Feature Creep)
  3. The road is closed, you are going to be late (Unexpected Game Breaking Bug)
(-1)

Ckyman made a better analogy, this analogy you are presenting is completely wrong, because it seems you cannot differentiate between an explanation and an excuse:

Explanation: "Sorry guys the release was set to X Day, but my computer video card just blew up" (this is just an example, you can change it for: "There are game breaking bugs, and we cannot release it like this"

Excuse: "I had a minor headache 3 weeks ago, so I didn't have time to work on the update"

As said before, some things are simply not in one's hands, and to this day not a single really "bug free" software exists.

(-1)

I dunno, I am playing Crimson Desert at the moment and that game is flawless ...

(-1)

Well... that's the beauty of it all, and why only after release things can start taking shape with sneaky stuff. There are a good plenty of graphical bugs, code bugs and glitches in Crimson Desert, the game has them but that doesn't mean everyone hits them. Of course that doesn't take away from the game, is still amazing, although I would say is trying to do too much.
Getting out of tutorial land after 10-13 hours is crazy lol. Still an amazing game.

Aye it is not my first Pearl Abyss game, Black Desert was the exact same at launch and still is to this day really... The glitches are annoying at times, but the game is a marvel and is everything I wanted it to be Final Fantasy XIV/Witcher game set in a Game of Thrones like universe with dream-like sci-fi. Cannot judge it too harshly cause I know it will be one of them games I just pick up and play for years to come. and will get patched with fixes and goodies all the time.

That being said I wish Pearl Abyss would get better at fucking learning to mix audio, jez christ if I am not forever playing with the audio settings in both their games 🙄

(+2)

What I really mean is if Anna was in  Crimson Desert , insta game of the year! 💛

I am having too much fun moving from Grok and using Wan2.2 locally for my animations atm

hermano nos esta dando un juego gratis, de verdad vale la pena quejarse por atrasar la fecha de entrega ¿? ¿? ¿?... ¿Que esto es GTA6 o que?

(+4)(-1)

hey can’t even be bothered to give a rough estimate anymore. Laughable. That’s just sad at this point.hhhhhh

(+3)(-4)

You people are the most insufferable, ungrateful porn-addicts I've ever seen....

It's a FREE game that someone is putting their time and effort into for you to enjoy - FOR FREE.

You'll get the release when you get it. Until then, shut up & stop being so rude. My goodness.

(-1)

Hello there,

I understand the intent and thanks. But please refrain from attacking others.

(+1)(-2)

Is this the cyber police? They’re so righteous—it actually made me cry. He also said the game is completely free. Is that true? Does that mean it’ll be free on Steam too? That would be amazing. Thank you, cyber police.欧美表情包- 堆糖

(-3)

He also called us all porn addicts. I never would’ve guessed he plays this game with such a pure heart. For someone with a pure heart to play an adult game like this—that’s truly noble.Truly inspiring how you play adult games with a saint’s heart.

(-1)

So let me answer those questions:

1. To the comment before, yes, the date was fully removed, it should have always been just like that since it's clear the concept of an "estimated date" is not understood.

2. The game is FULLY FREE, and we have advised this in multiple occasions. Due to STEAM regulations it cannot be free there and thats why that version of the game will only have ONE new extra character and it's quest.

3. Just like I said to the other user, refrain from aggressiveness to other users, directly nor indirectly.

(+1)(-6)

Actually, the update schedule shouldn't be taken too seriously. I also check the posts regularly, and I believe the development team won't treat us unfairly. The frequency of updates and the replies from Dr. Muramasa and other participants show that the team values this project highly, and we should be patient. There are many other things to enjoy in life. Go avusgames!!
