How did you interpret the theme?
I interpreted the theme “go to town” as a repetitive cycle of moving from one town to another, not for exploration, but for consumption.
In the game, the giant “goes to town” in a literal sense, but its purpose is to devour the entire population. The player actively participates by clicking on villagers, turning them into food, and feeding the giant. Once a town is depleted, the giant automatically moves on to the next one, repeating the process.
This transforms the theme into a gameplay loop where “going to town” represents escalation and consequence rather than progress. Each new town is not a fresh start, but another step in an ongoing cycle of destruction driven by the player’s actions.
