How is your game related to the Theme and Special Object?
The theme is Farming — the core gameplay loop revolves around plowing, planting, watering and harvesting crops to earn points. The player must manage their time carefully to tend to their farm efficiently.
The Chair is the central twist. Every 10 to 30 seconds, a chair randomly appears somewhere on the map and a 5-second countdown begins. If the player isn't sitting on it in time, it's game over. This creates a constant tension between peacefully farming and frantically running to the chair — a mechanic directly inspired by the game of Musical Chairs.
What tools and 3rd party assets did you use?
devkitARM — GBA toolchain (compiler, linker)
libgba — GBA hardware abstraction library (sprites, DMA, interrupts, input)
Aseprite — All pixel art and sprites (player, crops, chair, terrain)
Grit — GBA image converter (tiles, palettes, maps)
mGBA — Emulator used for testing and debugging
No external assets were used — all art was made from scratch.
How did you use generative AI? (If you did)
A generative AI assistant was used occasionally during development to help understand and fix some graphical bugs specific to GBA hardware (VRAM layout, palette management, OAM sprites). It was also used to help translate some text from French to English.
All code, game design, and art were made by the developer.

The UI is not user friendly. Very hard to target. I will always run to the chair on time but can't target to select the chair. A little music would have made it more entertaining. Good work.
Nice idea. It is hard to know where we are targeting, sometimes it aims in the right corner next to the head and sometimes on the right in front of the player.
I loved the player sprite.
