Castlevania, except the hearts actually do what you expect hehe

I like this game so much. The music was so twangy  and the gameplay is incredible. The controls feel great and just everything is great! The death system isn't as unforgiving, either, but it still feels bad to lose your score. Good job!

Loved it! The story was great, the artwork was beautiful, and it's a fun romp through 4, well-designed levels. I found the battle axe to be really OP! It's so different playing a platformer of yours that _isn't_ a Metroidvania. I kept expecting a twist where I'd need one of the weapons or some other find to progress. I liked the difficulty progression, though I struggled and ultimately couldn't best the final boss. Thanks for sharing your game, Kuro!

Thank you.  I appreciate your comments and sorry I put you through 20 kinds of hell with that STUPID bug you found. :(

that was an intense boss fight!! i hit a skill issue wall pretty early on but it was really fun so far! Solid platforming and i especially liked all of the sound designs

Slime boss maybe overtuned or just lacking prediction telegraphed abilities.. because i was trying my HARDEST and still couldn't out-damage the slime! His fireballs were devastating cus they were fast and i couldnt dodge in time; so my strategy was to tank it and just try to deal maximum damage possible with perfect DI input, it was quite tricky to actually keep the attacks while staying slightly distanced from the boss! I had fun but it ended up feeling impossible without a HP bar to guarge my progress. maybe i was 1-hit away from beating him?!? I would have 100% tried again!!

Thank you!

I am bad for tough boss battles, aren't I?  Must be my NES blood boiling inside me...  XD

When I beat it, I threw every knife I had at it to keep my distance.  I know there is also a secret weapon in the 1st stage (check some odd-looking walls) that can be used to make this battle ridiculously easy...

At least with game overs, all you have to do is spend 500 points and you can pick up where you left off.
