He he get slimed, wizard!

The way the wizards move remind me of Morrowind, for some reason. I guess cuz I'm thinking of the Dagoths. I love the fact that you can throw a slime to their faces. The only thing I would do is add a cursor or a reticle so you can tell where you're aiming because it was pretty wild aiming at first.

I am woefully unskilled with mouse-based games, so this was a bit heavy of a challenge for me.  I did make it to the 5th room, but the surround at the start of that room was an instant death for me.  And that was after me dying about 5 times in the first room trying to make heads or tails over how to get started.

The 3d application of the slime was interesting, for sure!

Overall, I would say it was alright! :)

Notes:

  • It was hard me for to hear the sound effect when the slime had been picked up.  Perhaps it being louder or a different sound effect would have worked out better.
  • I never got Recall to work. :(

Thanks for the comment (and sorry for the late reply)! The recall mechanic wasn't well explained and it would have been nice to have some space before they start attacking you, thanks a lot for the feedback :)

super cool seeing the 2d  theme asset brought to life in 3D!!

game was pretty fun and challenging! I would have loved a crosshair to help aiming a bit sometimes it was very precise and i'd aim just slightly off, which puts me in a dangerous position to kill them

i didnt realize there was a recall button!  I glanced at the controls on the page but didn't scroll down to see everything oops! (ᗒᗨᗕ)

an easy trick i stole from tbleazy is to put icons for the buttons in the UI and highlights when the player presses it so they can just intuitively learn the ability on their own, at the very least. (when you dont have time for a full tutorial since it's a jam). Just pointing out there's not a way to learn to press E (in-game only) unless you did it accidentally

Overall really cool tho and i love seeing 3D web games in the jam!! great work

Thanks! it was great participating in your game jam! That is a very smart trick, I will apply it on my next  projects for sure.

I think the visuals here are really nice—I really liked the model you made from the pixel art and the sound effects were a perfect match for it! I couldn't progress past the room with the pairs of enemies in wait around the corners, but I think with some tweaking to the enemy and combat mechanics I could easily see this expanding out into a much fuller and richer dungeon crawling experience.

As it stands, the balance feels off when it comes to enemy speed vs player health. Progression required me to memorize the room layouts to know where I could go to line up my shot while minimizing aggro'ing the enemies, and then make that shot perfectly so I could line it up and do it again. Thanks for making and sharing your game!

Pretty hard game, had some lag spikes just like other people say, good graphical style, the main attack mechanic was a bit confusing/clunky to use for me, but overall pretty good entry :D.

If you are playing the web browser version, the lag spikes can be due to a set of code trying to run for the first time (enemy fireball, throwing a slime, loading the room for the 1st time).

I like the gameplay idea,  just a lot of bugs and the enemies move so fast but that probably a skill issue for me. music  is nice and I like the enemy attack animation

Really good idea and nice graphics, but I had massive framerate issues and I just didnt understand how to attack the enemies.
