If this game was on the Nintendo 64, Nintendo would've LOVED you for having people buy new controller sticks he he

Oh man, the swinging mechanic is so much fun! It made my fingers numb, but it was all worth it to see what morning star strike the haters. Good job with that! It's extremely satisfying.

The way I got teased about getting a pyro to fight with me and then boom! Really fun gameplay. I spun and it was a good trick. The audio was great and everything felt really well put together. Thanks for making and sharing your game!

Ah good, a game with a strong, sturdy plot!  You know what is going on from the start!  And to make things more interesting, a "To Be Continued" has been included...  This must be pondered.

Aside from the mentioned animation issue (namely Sir Knight), the gameplay is definitely stronger than expected.  Nice job!

I would suggest instructions on how to play the game on your game page, so people what keys do what.

Notes:

  • I think I found a way to cheese this game.  But constantly spinning the player around (up, right, down, left, repeat for instance), the morning star is spinning around full-time, leaving you open to worry more about dodging incoming enemies.  I see you included that as part of your tips later on.  XD

Bonus:

  • YES!  Pause buttons!  I REALLY like that game makers are starting to include these in games.   Sound on/off is also a nice touch.

the gamplay of this Game is super fun , I really liked the swinging mechanic and I had no issues with the physics , the gamplay is perfect , but there is no animations so graphics were you weakest point

tbh the enemies actually all got animations of some kind

the player character was not graced with this feature though, beyond just the bare bones of having directional sprites

hype cliffhanger!!!

i REALLY wanted to see the pyro (as well as the duelist!!)

great job ending on a good hook -- that's some good gamedev demo design right there!

Really satisfying and unique game mechanic I think has a lot of potential! It's so smooth and feels perfectly responsive!! Perfectly tuned weight/momentum!

The encounter with NPCs was a fun surprise and definitely added a lot to the experience to make it quite elevated past small mechanics demo!! *takes notes*

Great work!!

thanks haha

I really wanted to get the next level playable, but scoping is hard 😔

a lot of the physics is based on a neat plugin for rope simulations and I really didn't need to tweak much to get the settings to feel good, that's actually one of the alchemized elements because I used the same plugin for the tentacle physics in a previous project
