Great game! Love the screaming sound hahaha. The shotgun being for movement rather than blowing up the balloon was not super intuitive. Font is a bit hard to read, but matches your theme.

I absolutely love this game! It is from a game developer that clearly understands game design and game jams really well. I did not participate in this jam but thank god I didn't, because this would be the winner. Such a cool game. It could be awesome to see this a highscore game based off the distance you made. So you could always aim to do better.

That's so great to hear! This is our sixth game jam that we have done together and we like to think we're getting better after each one. It's so validating to hear that all the work that we have put in has paid of. That is great feedback on the high score mechanic, it was raised as a concern towards the end of the development timeline but unfortunately we only had time to add the total pig collected or a total distance and we prioritised the pig option. Like any game jam though, it would be just that much better if you had that extra bit of time. Either way, I am so glad you liked it, and your kind words have really made my day. =)

Hi Plunfldunk and immortalicecream. The game mechanics are really interesting. I really liked them. The only downside is the poor font. It’s really hard to read and quite uncomfortable.

Good luck!

You make a really good point about the font. I liked the stylistic appeal of the font that we used for the headings and titles, but I think your definitely correct in saying that the clarity and readability for large sections of text is quite bad. Can't do much now, but that's really useful advice moving forward. Thank you!

Insane work, everything is fluent and also very polished, good job!

Developer

That's great to hear! As with any jam there are some things that we want to tweak or change  after the fact, but I'm glad to hear that the final product seems polished. Thanks for taking the time to play it.

I spent a lot of time trying to shoot pigs with a gun, but the game's mechanics and fluidity are good.

Developer

That is a totally fair assumption to make. We had some concerns around the clarity of the game sprites and how easy it would be to infer that you collect the pigs. We definitely should have made it more clear initially so as to avoid any confusion. Glad you enjoyed the rest of the game though.

Wow, the visuals are amazing!

Developer

As the artist for the game that is really reassuring to hear! I was going for an old flash game sort of vibe with the crunchy lines, so I am really glad to hear you liked it. Thank you =)

I didn't immediately realize that you had to crash into the pigs, but then it became fun

Developer

A very valid point. We had some concerns around the colour of the objects that the player had to dodge being the same colour as the object you were meant to collect. We didn't really remedy this but we could have made it even clearer that the pigs were meant to be collected. Thank you for taking the time to play it though!

Very cool! The physics was fun to play with!

Developer

Thank you, we spent most of the first day of the jam trying to get it feel fun and not too floaty.

Really nice visuals and gameplay ! But a bit too hard for my old brain

Developer

Thank you for the nice words! We did have some conversations around difficulty but ran out of time to make any meaningful game options around it. Either way, thank you for taking the time to play it.
