There are a lot of systems here! Also, might have been me playing the web build but the mouse click position in the menu was off somehow and I was changing the settings that I did not intend to change (like the language haha), not a deal breaker but maybe a post jam fix?
Noticed that you had input queuing also so that was a nice way to make up for not using instant step!
I did not download the game, just played it with the web player. Maybe the web version has some serious problems, but the game runs very badly. And your steps are to small, movement just does not feel good here and is too laggy. The graphics are all homemade, that is impressive, as is the scope of the game. There is so much here, but to burried under a clunky interface and obtuse mechanics. I seriously think, that you got something special here and I hope you clean up the game. I feel there is a diamond in the rough here. During play I always had to think of some obsuce 3DO games or something. Rough game, but pretty cool :)
There is an impressive amount of stuff in this game for the duration the game jam… but at the same time it’s a bit overwhelming. There was so much on the screen I wasn’t sure what to pay attention to first.
I also struggled with the camera - it seems I was always one square away from where I thought I was.
It seems like when you come out of the Journal / Settings screens your keypresses then get applied to your character?
I wish I could remap the keys - I like Using A/D for strafing and Q/E for rotating :-/
Using emojis for the characters faces is a fun idea.
Cool game, but has some extreme lag. Seems very deep though!
I really like the setup and dialog in this one. The story is a really interesting world. I feel a little silly though because I am not sure where the BnB is for the first quest to get the key. I searched both starting areas for a bit and could not find it.
Amazing how much you got done in the timespan of the jam. The game looks and sounds very good. And it seems to be really big and deep.
And I really like the premise of 'somebody's gotta set up the dungeon for the next wannabe hero'.
And I guess thats my biggest issue. Other than talking to people and the combat, I was not really able to do of the interactions like refilling stuff. And I was really looking forward to that, a reversal like that. Its like I don't understand the UI or maybe it just didn't work correct on my machine?
