Wow this is just all around awesome! Art, sound, style, just wow...
I did think there was a little too much frame stop on each enemy hit. Made the game feel a little laggy (or maybe it was lag). Still a wonderful game
PEAK!
The art style is super cool. the animation look super polish. the instraction text wasnt in the center so it was hard to read when thay got out of the frame. wish the difficult curve will start a bit easear but over all great game.
I really like the art style, and the CRT effect fits this game perfectly. The animation is also well done. It’s a cool game, and I especially enjoy the teleportation mechanic. I tried playing again because my first experience was a bit difficult for me. I suggest adding difficulty modes so players can adapt more easily. Overall, it’s a very good game
Brings back memories of early gaming days of yesteryear.
I do love the Mario 2 floaty hover physics and you also have some neat stuff going on with the different mechanics and switching between palettes.
Might just be my touchpad, but for me the firing was inconsistent and unreliable at times but I may come back for another try with my USB mouse and hope it plays better with that.
Regardless, a cool entry. Good job :)
Woah! such a polished production - game juice galore! - everything looks and feels amazing.
You might benefit from adding a few difficulty setting easy, normal, hard... or at least slowly ramp up the difficulty to let people ease in to things. One thing that surprised me, was how your title screen / thumbnail feel quite weak compared to your actual product. I almost skipped your game, because it didn't capture my interest.
But I'm so glad I gave it a chance anyway - well done!
Thank you so much for playing! Yes, if I'm allowed I'll add some way to tone the difficulty so that everyone can at least see all the content, especially the final boss. And yeah, my graphic design is very weak haha! This was my first time making my own art for a game, so I'll try to come up with a more appealing cover if I can.
This is so good
That's so kind! Thank you for taking the time to play.
I spent quite a bit of time on the game. It’s great. Art, music, effects… everything is there, and I had a really good time.
The winged demons are a bit too strong in my opinion, but aside from that, I think the game is really well balanced. The fact that enemies respawn in the same way makes you want to learn the pattern to defeat them in the right order.
I did find it a bit frustrating that enemies could slip between me and my shot when the timing wasn’t perfect. Maybe you could add an area of effect behind the player to account for the knockback of the spell. Also, it would help to better indicate when the spell is available, so it’s easier to keep track of the timing during difficult moments.
Great project, and congratulations! <3
Thank you so much!! Yes, the balancing is a bit messy. And yes, the hitboxes are also a bit off haha. Sorry about that! But thank you so much for the detailed feedback and taking the time to play the game.
This is super polished! Music, graphics, etc. Very nice job!
Thank you!! It was my first time composing for my own game, so I was worried I did not do a good enough job haha. I appreciate it so much!
Cool game guys, gameplay is on point, every move seems impactful, the art and animation is really good too. Good job!
Thank you!! The VFX and post-processing took up a lot of the development time, I'm glad you appreciated them.
That was a brutal experience! Love the idea and the teleport mechanic, i'm just not good enough :(
thank you so much for taking the time to play!! and yeah im sorry about the difficulty haha, i went a bit overboard
