How does your game fit the theme?
My game fits the theme by having the playable characters be toys who have taken themselves outside of their boxes (or rather unboxed themselves) to fight each other to find out who is the best toy in the toy store.

This is pretty cool. I really enjoy the concept and could totally imagine this as a NES game of the time (Especially the graphics).

Developer

Thank you! The NES game style is something my games kinda lean towards I guess, just a style I really like. I should try branching out to other styles though lol

Wait this game is so cute!! I can't believe I just stumbled into this game. It really reminded me of the toy story 2 scene when you are in the toy store at night

Thank you so much! I used those moments of film as a small reference when it came to make the levels ngl. Thank you for playing, I hope you enjoyed it ^^

😀This is the best game I've played in the game jam so far! Love the style, and it's a ton of fun. Keep up the good work😁

I like the concept a lot and it is always cool to see a multiplayer game in a jam full of single player games. The movement felt pretty fluid and everything was nice to use. Balancing only having one attack by only having to take one hit was interesting to see, though it did cause games to end really quickly at times. Regardless this was fun to play with my friend and we had a great time, good job!

Developer

Thank you so much, glad to see people are enjoying the concept and gameplay! I originally had this planned as a single player game tbh with enemy ai opponents (that got shelved very quickly due to time and I kinda went all in on the multiplayer part). Would love to add a mode where you can set how many successful rounds it takes for a player to win, like a custom game mode option or something.

Pretty cool to see a multiplayer game. The game is missing a lot of stuff but the art and character look really nice. I hope to see more games by Maddie!

Developer

Thank you so much! A lot (proper animations, some audio design, and more polish) is currently still missing but the goal is to develop the game further if people show an interest. Ironically enough I didn't realise until now that a multiplayer game is kinda outside the box for a game jam lmao.
