  • Good work on your Jetpack Joyride clone. You got most of the core features down. Some sfx and music would elevate this to the next level. I really like the theme, the lil bot is pretty cool!

Really like the addition of the rush mechanic, it adds a little bit more depth to an otherwise simple game

This game is cool :D Its cool that you also recreated Jetpack Joyride like me. I loved the assets and having 2 different scoring systems (the distance and coins). I reckon with some sound effects, a background, and a bit more game feel this could turn out amazing. Overall really good for your first game using Godot.

Starting a new game engine for a jam is quite ambitious, I imagine your first week could have been just learning the ropes. And you still created a working result. Bravo!

Go Go little sputnik!  For your first godot game, you did really good work in the time!

This cool for your first game. I am proud. This is amazing for your first time. Also, sounds would have been better.. but I did not have much either, so good job.

Not bad for getting your toes wet as a first game. Everyone has to start somewhere and you have just completed your first steps. Good Work!

Hey, not bad at all for a first game! Like others have said, backgrounds and sounds would have added a lot here.

I didn't realize about the rushing at first, which was my fault for not reading. Until then I thought that the jetpack moving up was too slow, it's probably fine with the rushing and made the game feel more fun. However, it does have some bugs. With collision not working when rushing right. And there's a bug where if you start rushing, the objects on screen will scroll left faster, but new objects will move slower. So they'd be going at different speeds. Also, I think that the score should also increase faster while you are rushing.

But it's a good solid attempt for learning your first game and you should definitely stick with it if that's what you want to do!

Good job, as mentioned before, it seems like when you use the rush in any direction the collisions stop working, but outside of that it was fun

Fun nice little game, could be improved with sound, I like the art style, sometimes collisions with beams didn't work.

Cool sprites — the background would've highlighted them perfectly. I liked how after a loss, the hero's corpse stares at you.
