Not sure if I am doing something wrong but I am unable to enter notes via MIDI keyboard. I am using the mac version.

Midi toggle is selected in the settings and I tried different midi channels. Could there be some kind of Omni selection to receive midi from all channels or something?

Also there is no application icon at the moment but maybe that is intentional.

Still awesome stuff and loving it already!

I'm happy you like it :)

Sorry, but Midi was broken on Linux and Mac but I've fixed that now. I will release an update in a day or two.

I just downloaded the latest 1.2.1 linux version. But the binary inside seems to be the 1.0.4 version? First I though it might be just the wrong version number displayed, but when I checked it doesn't have the new features.

Developer

Thank you for letting me know. It's now fixed :)

I’m on the Mac version, 1.2.1 and I get “File I/O error” when I try to load/save settings. I have the settings file in the same folder as the .app as per the latest entry in the changelog.

Developer

Thanks for reporting! Is this a folder where you have write permissions? I mean, I'm not a Mac user but I know there are certain folders that are protected from writing to files.

Yes, I have write permissions. I’m able to open the .ini file in TextEdit and make changes. It doesn’t seem to read the .ini file either btw. If I make some changes (e.g. PATTDOTS=TRUE), then load ZT, the changes are not reflected.

Interesting. I just discovered that it works fine if I launch from command line ./zoopertracker.app/Contents/MacOS/zoopertracker but not if I load the app through Finder.

I guess this is Finder not setting the current directory when launching an app. That would explain the difference. I’ve never built a Mac app bundle before so not sure how that works.

Developer

Oh, that's interesting to know. I'll investigate what the difference is when running through Finder instead of command line. Thank you for testing and reporting this. At least for now you can run it via command line, and I'll hopefully have it fixed in next update :)
