The game feels incredibly polished. The VFX and trail effects, in particular, are perfect. They add a whole new layer of enjoyment to the gameplay. The only real issue is with the UI. If you're planning to take this further, the UI will need some improvement. For example, in the ability selection panel, it would be much better if all three ability descriptions were displayed side by side so we could just click to select. Reading them one by one and having to go back and forth can be a bit frustrating. Other than that, the 'game feel' is executed perfectly. The player gets that sense of satisfaction throughout. Great job! This game definitely has the potential to win!

Yeah i'm really bad at doing UX/UI (Or any form of art besides VFX), this version is far from final indeed ! I'll ask someone more talented to do it (Shouldn't be hard to find :D). This UI will definitely change in the future :)

Super fun and engaging!! So much juice and effects, im impressed you've managed to do all of this in 2 weeks! Solid upgrade system thats really rewarding. Runs super smoothly even with loads of enemies! The leaderboard is a great addition too.
It took a minute to get used to the keyboard controls and im not sure if its just me but the font for the number 1 looks like a 7 but other than that its fantastic! This could be a full game :)
If everything works out, it will be a full game ! The format will change but I have fun plans :D
I'm working on the keyboard controls tomorrow, with a bit of luck i'll have a nice patch to celebrate the end of tha ratings !
I'm also surprised how well the game runs even on WebGL. In endgame there's up to 1000 zombies at once, with up to 100 spawning per second. The whole day spent optimizing everything did wonders :D

I'll be sure to look out for the full game! Can I ask how you optimized it so well? Did you use pooling for the enemies? Or was it just a process of lots of small refactoring that added up while testing? Any tips would be amazing :)

All I have to say is, add some cat puns and cat themed upgrades/attacks
I need to study a bit more on cat jokes, and it will be purrfect !
Cat themed attacks are actually something i'm planning for the future ! To avoid circling in the middle i'll spawn some cats you will have to rescue over time, and I thought about having them jump onto the roof and cast new spells !
It'll be the cat's meow :)

This game is amazing. I really love the game music, using cat meows as instrument is so creative! Everything was placed perfectly and the controls felt awesome. However, a little small critique is I think the enemies you kill could be something more related to cats, so it feels like the game fits super well together. Overall, the game is amazing, would definitely play again!

What did you have in mind for the enemies ? If I add zombie dogs or something as enemies i'll be crucified by the dog lovers haha
Maybe zombie insects or rats would be cool! Since my friends keeps complaining about their cats bringing dead insects as gift to them XD
Dead rats would be creepy as hell :o That's actually a good idea. Maybe mix them up with the zombies, these could make good additions with their own identity (Swarm/type enemies). Thanks :)
This is fantastic. Most fun game I've played so far. Skill trees are fantastic and are timed well, you don't get bored before the next upgrade. Absolutely stunning work.

Yes sadly i'm very bad at 3D Art and i'm alone, so I had to use external ones. Everything else is self made though, including VFX !
3D Assets are definitely going to be replaced after the jam though, if I find a cool 3D artist ! I'm planning to add more levels so there will be things to do :)

Had such a fun time playing this, but I couldn't save the cats for long unfortunately. Sadness. But for real, I can see myself getting addicted to this game. It's such a cute concept and executed wonderfully. Just loved it.

Love this game, the juice and special effects make it VERY satisfying to play. Controls are fun and responsive even on keyboard. Also love the soundtrack. if I would change one thing it's the ghost zombies (they make me think too hard when I just want to turn my brain off!!)
Hey ! Thanks a lot for the feedback ! The ghosts were really hard to balance, They were either invisible or just too easy to see.. I even tried adding a fog effect that would follow them but even that is not good enough :D maybe i'll just make them pass through blocks and keep them visible or something, so they still keep their identity !
