The art style in game is REALLY AWESOME. That's what really shines about this game. The music in game is good. Game concept and freezing time is cool.
Here's my suggestions: The opening music is a little abbrasive, it doesn't really work for me. The game mechanics don't seem to totally work. I could only fight a couple guys and then I was left just wondering what was supposed to happen.
However I can see a lot of potential here. I think the idea was great and execution was pretty good but could be better. Great job!
Thank you for the feedback. I’m working to make the game mechanics easier to understand, but I can only post this final update once the game jam voting period is over.
I love the mechanics of the game! Especially the time stop. I love the art style matching with the overall atmosphere. Great work!
thxxxxxx!
I wish I could play but windows keeps blocking me from opening
This even happens on my computer when I was testing if the installation was working. You can fix it by clicking on “more options” and then “install anyway” or something like that, but I can’t force you to do that.
For me, there is no "more options" area, it says smart app control blocked an app that may be unsafe. Then I can only press ok, send feedback, or get apps from the app store (or learn more which leads to website)
Oh man, what a drag, I wish everyone could see my game.
This game is pretty cool! Few points of criticism . . .
- Yet another game where the "Name your price" has been left on, which at best tells of carelessness and at worst is a really bad sign. If this was accidental, no problem! If it was intentionally enabled, stuff like that should be turned on only after the Jam, not during it!
- The middle-doors do not have the "press x to open a door" tooltip, which made it hard to notice that they are even usable and I was really puzzled about where you're meant to get the key with only two rooms. This is a massive oversight, I thought that they are just a part of the background and I only found out by looking at the rest of the comments for this game
- I should not have to install a Jam-game, under any circumstance. Jam-games should be accessible for everyone or a least as many people as possible as conveniently and easily as possible, preferably playable in browser but at most a zip-folder
Thanks a lot for playing and for the detailed feedback — I really appreciate you taking the time to write this!
About the pricing: the “name your price” setting was left on by mistake during submission. While it doesn’t break the jam rules, I agree it’s not ideal for a jam environment where accessibility and feedback should come first. I’ll make sure to keep it free during the event and only consider pricing after it’s over.
Regarding the doors: that’s a completely fair point. The lack of a tooltip/clear indication is on me — I can see how that made it confusing to understand that they were interactable. I’m going to improve the UI and add a proper prompt so it’s clear that you can open them.
About the download: while the jam rules do allow a Windows build, I understand your point about convenience. A browser version or easier access would definitely help more people try the game. I focused on getting a stable build submitted in time, but I agree that improving accessibility is important and I’ll aim for that in future updates/jams.
Thanks again for the honest feedback — it really helps me improve!
Hey, no problem! Thanks for being able to take the criticism on the chin. And I'm a professionally-trained game designer, being able to give feedback comes with the wheelhouse ~ All of your points are valid as well!
Thank you so much, your feedback will definitely help me with future updates.
The time stop was so well implemented. I also like how there were enemies that could move through the time stop, it feels like it balances things out. I really liked it, also VAMO BRASIL, OLHA A TABELA, OLHA A TABELA!!!!!!!!!
OBRIGADOO, VAMO BRASILLL
Really liked the style and overall feel, it looks clean and has a nice flow to it. The whole vibe fits together really well. Feel free to check my game too if you want
I may be stupid but I cant find the key and I'm stuck on the second room hahahaha Besides that, I like the art and i love the concept of stopping the time :]]]]
The key is in room 6. You enter through the middle door in room 2 and then through the door on the right.
I really like the time freeze aspect. Makes me feel like a real samurai. Moving faster than people can comprehend. I would love to see a full game with this. Great Job!
Thanks a lot! Glad you liked the time freeze mechanic, means a lot 🙏 A full game is definitely something I’m considering!
Awesome, it was a pleasure helping with the game ;)
Unfortunately I cannot play this. I use Linux and both Faugus Launcher (with proton) and Wine gets an error when launching. Do you have a linux or web version?
I can only export the game to Ubuntu, is that okay? Is it a limitation of Game Maker
We can try. I'm not using ubuntu-based linux, but maybe it will work if I extract the game content
Supa' great! (。•̀ᴗ-)✧ loved helping out
I feel like I have seen this game before Amazing game
Thx! Inspired by games like Katana Zero, but with my own twist (enemies with different time vulnerabilities). Still working hard on it!
