About (Artist Statement)
This perzine is about how I've crocheted to cultivate a deliberate slowness in my life: participating in the analog to ward off the horrors of climate change related despair and doom scrolling during the pursuit of my graduate studies. With the nonstop busy rush of the world, and algorithms that're clawing for your attention: the deliberate choice to disengage and reconnect with tangible fibrecrafts has been a meaningful personal resistance against succumbing to despair.
