The visuals were really unique! Correct me if I am wrong but are they pop art inspired? I liked the game and thought the movement was good just the actual rock paper scissors seemed a little broken, was quite sure if it was random or if the top shows what move the enemy is planning to make?

Anyway good work :)

Yeah, kind of, i tried making a  shader that allowed to add little textures in shadows because i really like the effect. The enemy hand icon updates each time they make a move so it's really just to show what move they're using. Overall the combat system is really just luck, i tried adjusting the chances for each enemy to make a certain move but there's really no way of knowing what they'll do. Anyway, thanks a lot!

First off, congratulations on finishing your first game—that’s a huge milestone, and it’s honestly one of the hardest parts. Getting something complete and playable is a big achievement.

I thought the visuals were neat and had a nice style to them. That said, I did find that moving through the dungeon was a bit disorienting at times, and it gave me a bit of a headache while navigating.

On the gameplay side, I personally struggled to feel a strong sense of agency in my decisions. The rock/paper/scissors mechanic ended up feeling mostly random to me. I get the sense that the intention is for the player to learn the dragons’ tendencies over time, but I had a hard time picking up on those patterns or feeling engaged enough to learn them across multiple attempts. Because of that, the outcomes felt more like luck than strategy.

One small input-related thing I noticed: actions triggering on key release (key-up) made the controls feel a bit unresponsive at times, almost like there was input latency.

Overall though, this is a really solid first project, and it’s great to see it come together. With a bit more clarity in player feedback and decision-making, I think it could become a much more engaging experience.

Yay I made it. It comes down to chance I think, since there is no real way of knowing what the enemy will do. I think they start with the same hand though.

I really liked the graphics, its something cool about it that gives off good 80-90's vibes.

I love how how this game tried to implement themes of dragon and elemental rock-paper-scissors. The dragons are the main enemies of the game and the elemental rock-paper-scissor is meant to be used as attacks during combat.

I quickly lost due to the RNG not being in my favor after killing the first dragon.

A huge congratulations for making your first game, seeing it through to the end and getting some nice polish on it too!

You're movement controller is pretty good for a first go. I would prefer the actions to happen on key-down instead of key-up, but everything else was pretty good!

I like that you picked a simple mechanic and focused on implementing it well. It worked, it was fun and it ticked all the boxes it needed to for the jam. You should be very proud of what you've achieved. Yes it was short, but a fun game and I hope you come back next year.

Yipieee!

It was fun. This gigantic environment looks great and the dragons look cool too. The music during play as well as the victory one are both nice. I don't know if there's any depth to the combat but since you can get rid of it fast then it's fine.

Thanks for sharing!

Good job making your first game. The controls were good, step size was well represented to fit on the map you made. The combat worked well and I had to restart a few times to beat all dragons until I realized each is more prone to use a certain choice.

Yeah, you absolutely should be proud, that you made a game from start to finish. I defeated the three dragons, but I did not really get, how the system worked, as I sometimes got damaged, even when the color should have be the correct one. Keep on making games!
