This was pretty clever it reminds me of my little brothers haha. I'm not gonna lie it's pretty hard but def addictive. THE FLOOR IS LAVA!
For a first game, this is already in a really good spot. Everything is well explained, there’s a clear sense of progression that makes each run feel different, and the enemy variety feels well-suited to the game’s length.
So even though some art and sound are still missing, I still genuinely think you did a great job here. Congrats, and thanks for sharing!
This game was an amazing experience as this is your first game jam. It also reminded me how simple ideas and memories can be a fun experience based on the execution of the developer. Hope you grow more as a game dev in the future.
This was a LOT of fun to play! Amazing work, I love the whole childhood-like vibe of it. Also great job with the enemies! It super satisfying to push them into the lava, and it was cool that there were some enemy variations :D
Creation isn't tied to completion. They are two different things, you already created a game. Congratulations, you are now a game developer and created a game. It is not done (no game is ever done) so next step to take it further.
As for the game itself, pretty cool concept, needs some polish and would be a solid experience. You should definitely be proud of what you made. It is far better than many first games I've seen made before.
Pretty sure you have a list of your own of things to add/change/do so I won't bore you with what you know. I would say though, it does have potential :) especially if you can add a split screen mode :P but then I am expanding the scope for you a bit (although maybe could be easier to handle than AI enemies).
Either way, absolutely good work, welcome to the game developers club.
For a first game, you should be proud of what you did! You achieved a lot in just 2 weeks.
Good Job making your game!
Was fun to play.
As a first game really well done, especially in two weeks.
Learning under that pressure and being able to produce is a really good trait to have and will no doubt push you to
were you want to get to with game dev.
Keep Going!!
Join more short jams if that's how you best learn, in the crucible
Good luck in the Jam
If you play my game, thank you! Like I said in the games description, this was my first ever attempt at making a game, so the majority of the game jam time was spent learning how to code/interact with Godot, so the game is missing some polish on the artwork, has some reused assets for different things, no audio, and just overall needs some love on the front end, but this is where I was able to get to an hour before the deadline, so this is what gets submitted!
My take on the invincible theme was more the feeling you had of being invincible when rough housing around with your friends as a kid.
If you enjoyed playing please let me know, because it was a lot of fun to create and would love to go back and actually make the game look as cool as I think it should without a deadline looming overhead!
