Interesting central mechanic! The carriage gets pretty satisfying to use once more enemies start spawning and you can bowl over a bunch of them at once, it would be cool to see more upgrades in the future but what you have here is really polished!

A solid game jam game. Your music was quite satisfying. I think the powerup shrines should spawn randomly over time in the main enemy rooms as opposed to being in their own separate room. This would let me grab a powerup without having to reset the enemy count every 15 seconds. Maybe put a pause effect when deciding your power up if you ever implement this idea.
I liked your game, it reminded me of a game called Binding of Isaac, congratulations :D
I really like your audio design. The combat is satisfying especially because of the sound effects. I would say I don't fully understand the story. But the combat is fun!
Hii! Just played and rated. This is not my type of game but I had more fun than I thought I would. I liked the visuals and the carriage mechanic and the ominous necromancer haha. Thanks for sharing!
Hey nenayz! I just played Deeper Down and had a blast. The visual style is charming, and the sound design feels really punchy and satisfying.
I have two main points of feedback for you:
- Camera Shake: When there are many enemies on screen and I use the 'carriage' ability, the screen shakes a bit too intensely. It makes it hard to see what's happening during chaotic moments.
- Progression: Currently, the rooms with upgrades feel a bit underwhelming. I think switching to an XP-based system might feel more rewarding — by the time I reached 500 points, I barely felt any significant change in my character's strength.
Overall, it's a solid jam entry with great potential! Don't let the 'oversaturated genre' comments discourage you — you've got a great foundation here. Would love it if you could check out my project, Lucky Cat: God's Touch, when you get a chance. Good luck!
Loved the game! Really liked the carriage mechanic and it feels super satisfying to hit stuff with it.
Great job!
The mechanic of kicking a carriage is super fascinating! I think the theme was tied in a really interesting way. Fun game overall!
The game is fun, and kicking around the carriage to kill enemies was really cool, plus the pixel art looks great. My biggest gripe with the game is how I think the theme of invincibility could have been more well explored, but overall I enjoyed playing, and would have played way more if the game were longer. Good job!
I like this game, art is good, sound is good, but there’s a bug in start of game (also applies on exit from upgrade portal and spawn) when the enemy gets attacked for the first time game freezes.
this was great! i really loved the art and the soundtrack was really well done too!
I liked it! Upgrades and cart really sell the theme of dwarf character. His tween animations are also really cute!
Vampire Survivors clone is a pretty solid genre, always a treat to play. Yours had great feedback when smashing enemies with the cart
I think you maybe could have removed the HP to fit the theme a bit more? So to make it more about how efficient you are at collecting souls. Like, sure you can kill them with just your cart and reach 100k, you're just gonna take forever. You gotta pump these numbers.
Anyway, great job, loved it!
Just finished your game, it was really addictive, the gameplay feels great and the upgrades are a treat. I was expecting a boss fight when opening the last door, but otherwise I had a really great time playing it !
Hey the gameplay itself was very fun! Good SFX placement, nice soundtrack choice, satisfying movement and combat. I was a little confused in terms of how the portals and rooms worked in the beginning. Wasn't sure if it was like a roguelike game, or just one long continuous story. It made sense the longer I played. Great submission overall, good job!
Really fun and satisfying core mechanic. I did run into a couple of rough spots though. Sometimes taking damage while the carriage is returning felt a bit unfair, since there’s not much you can do in that moment. Overall though, this is a really solid and addictive entry with a unique mechanic. Nice work!
Really like the dark dungeon vibe, it feels intense with all the enemies coming at you. The gamefeel is really satisfying, everything has a nice feedback that makes it fun to keep going. It has that addictive loop that makes you want to push further. I’d really appreciate it if you could rate my game too
I love the mechanics and controls of the game! It was so satisfying to kick the basket and see the enemies get slayed >:D. However, the screen shake was a bit too much when I decide to group them up before pushing the basket into them. I also would love to have like a small upgrade which could make the basket one shot the enemies, it would be so satisfying to see them all die in 1 shot! Overall, the game is really nice and enjoyable, great job!
I played the game collected 500 souls. The gameplay is really satisfying, concept is also good. I would improve graphics, add new enemies and maybe add something to movement, but I really enjoyed whole game.
