  • Picked up the controls pretty fast and liked how you can just have fun going full speed! Great game.

Who worked on your submission?
I made most of it, but I got some of my friends (Beebin and Toady19) to do voices for some of the characters.

How does your submission fit the theme?
Almost everything in this game is bald; the main character, the skeleton, the sun, etc., and the game's plot revolves around restoring the sanctity of baldness.

Hi, I just wanna confirm that you only had 2 people do voices, correct? Voice actors count as team members, so you'd be a team of three. I just wanted to clarify this since you said you made all of the game then listed 2 voice actors. So you didn't make the game entirely yourself. Thank you!

Developer(+1)

Sorry, yeah 3 people worked on it: myself, Beebin, and Toady19! I phrased it poorly, I made most of it and they did the voices. Sorry 'bout that!

Jam Judge

Thanks for responding!  We have a 3 team member limit, so that's why I wanted to be sure. We had some confusion from others as to who counted as a team member, so that's why I wanted to clarify.

Awesome controls, once you get good at it you really are free to do whatever you want, the level is also very cleverly designed to allow for some nasty skips, very well done! I liked it a lot!!!

also i winar

Developer(+1)

Thank you, I'm really glad you enjoyed it!! :)

I kinda built the game around having fun, fast movement that made it fun to speedrun, and I'm really glad it seems to have worked (though in doing that I may have made it a little too precise in some areas.)

Most of the skips were intentional, but there were a few that I didn't think about (namely ones that involve going off screen), but I think those ones just add even more for those who want that kinda thing!

Also gratz on beating my time, you even beat my current any rank PB from after I released the game (I'll add a screenshot of my current best times in case you're curious!)

You know the game is good when you see ¨Comic Sans MS.ttf¨ in the files. lol

Very fun game. Very nice animations. :)

The funi bone voice is very funi.

Developer

Thank you, I'm glad you enjoyed it! :) Also, the funi bone voice (Sir Shavington) was done by my friend Toady19!

Also the funniest part of comic sans being there was that I didn't even use it- I was going to, used something else, and forgot to remove it from the included files. This is now the second time I've done that in a game jam. Whoops...

(+1)

Hi yeah that was me. Sir Shavington was an absolute joy to voice! I think it's important you know that when I was voicing him I was doing villainous hand movements the entire time.

I had a lot of trouble trying to get the super jump to work (i'm still not entirely sure exactly how it works) and I was a little overwhelmed by just how many mechanics there were but there's definitely potential here and it would've been cool to see some more levels even if i'm terrible at the game

Developer

I never thought of the amount of mechanics being overwhelming before now, but I can absolutely see that, and I've heard a lot of people having trouble with the super jump, so you're not alone on that.  I think I made its timing a bit too precise. But TY for playing and for the criticism! :)

10/10, though could've been balder.

Developer

Yeah, I definitely could've implemented a little more baldness into the fundamentals of the game. But a 10/10 is pretty good I think, TY!

A bit janky, but fun. Had some problems with the super jump, that either came out at random or only after I kept spamming the buttons.

Developer

That's fair, the timing for super jumps is pretty tight, probably a bit too tight honestly. It's also way harder to pull off if you keep holding down while bouncing (because that increases your gravity), so I wonder if that might've been part of it as well.

Regardless, I'm glad you had fun! :)

Love the hand drawn animations! Thank you Baldo

Developer

Thanks! :)

Cool game!! The super jump mechanic is  a lot of fun, there's a surprising amount of depth there and it was enough to inspire me to attempt speedrunning the level trying to figure out how to keep the momentum from it.

I was able to get a time of around 45 seconds without collecting the dancing guys... really rubbing my bald head trying to figure out how to get closer to the dev time.

Developer

Thank you, I'm glad you liked it!!! :)

For getting faster times, maybe the issue isn't how fast you're going, but the path you're going?
