This was a really interesting concept that I haven't seen done before! I enjoyed the art style combined with the sound effects and music I think together it creates a cohesive vibe and identity for your game that I think works well. I will say I was confused on how to play for a while, even reading the instructions in the game page, I think a tutorial would've helped me here but then again I could just be slow. The start button was also not responsive for me at times and I would have to press multiple times for it to start or maybe it just took time for the game to load when I pressed it the first time I'm not sure. Also I think having the camera lock into an enemy once your in battle or maybe even take the player to a whole new scene like in Pokémon, would benefit the experience because sometimes I would run into an enemy and battle it but then be looking at the wall the whole time. Very impressive creativity overall, though especially for a game jam!
Very creative and fun game! It took me a while to understand how I could equip more slots. I didn't understand why a new row opened up for me, but I noticed that once you start filling up the slots, then you become OP very quickly. I used money mainly for HP and got to like the 5th or 6th floor. I'm not sure if there is an end but the enemies slowly multiplied so my run eventually ended.
My main recommendation would be for new slot items to be chosen separately from the "items" because once you get max item slots then you can't get more slot items. So you have to have at least 3 slots open if you want to keep filling up the slots.
Also, I ran into a bug when you click on play multiple times, it keeps spawning monsters so I had runs in the beginning when the rooms were literally filled with only monsters lol. Here is the screenshot. After that, I realized why my runs were so hard in the beginning and only clicked on play once.

The slot idea is fun and the art style is good, but the game needs more polish. would be nice if I could rotate after a battle has begun, so I can see what I am fighting.
Loved the idea behind the game. Could see it doing well as a commercial game after some more polish and content. Especially with the crazy of gambling-style games nowadays. Some feedback:
- There were moments I would enter combat when an enemy was not on my screen. It must be some sort of collider/triggering issue or not rotating the player towards the enemy. Then I would just be playing slots against nothing.
- The game would be great with special icons rather than just JQK and the other shop icons. But this is just a game jam thing.
- Some more juice and vfx for the slot machine is a must! This game would look so good and extra fun if just a bit of effects were added when spinning the wheel and hitting big.
I see a ton of potential in this style of game! I would keep going at it with some polish, marketing it a bit, and seeing how the reception is on it. Good job!
very unique gameplay, the music adds a really nice atmosphere, love the art
Very interesting. Love the retro vibes and the soundtrack. Gotta say, I enjoyed the game!
I love the slot attack system and its combinations. Sounds and art style work really well together and fit the retro concept perfectly. Great job in such a short time !
This is a fun concept. With enough development, I can see this consuming a lot of time because of its replayability. Great job!
What an awesome art style! I love games that look like this kinda like mad jack mullet and cloverpit had a baby! Awesome stuff.
That’s some trippy art style! And a very unique concept as well. Great work!
surreal art, unique and and a really catchy soundtrack
I was excited to play the game after seeing your updates in the discord
Fun concept, enjoyable gameplay, and it could easily be translated to mobile, it would be a fun game play to pass the time.
I was thininking the same thing! If I decide to develop it further and polish I actually was thinking the same thing. Make a fun little play store app. Thanks for the comment
Game is stupidly creative. I love it.
Just a heads up, depending on your browser settings you might need to full screen the game to see everything as the UI is a tad off.
(this is sadly an offload issue that would need to be fixed post jam BUT the game is there and playable, just go full screen)
thanks. i tried that experimental browser setting thing, next time ill stick with the normal one. Looked great on my browsers, but now I know.
Yeah. It's weird how things export and go across multiple machines.
I actually had this happen early on in my play testing with DEP. Friend who was playing it instantly knew it was UI zoom. I had set everything up with my windows UI zoom set to 150% and that didn't translate across to other machines.
Also (in Godot) there are a ton of different settings for the viewport that need to be tweaked along with different node settings etc.
I spent almost an entire day getting the entire windows aesthetic tweaked to look good across multiple browsers/ platforms. It was definitely an unexpected fight and learning experience.
Creativity for this one is off the charts. Never really seen anything like this.
