I like the premise, but the lack of affordance is making it impossible for me to play. the graphical assets you use should communate its funtions to the player, or at least use some kind of color coding so as the player you know which side to use for that.

Developer

Thanks! I dont know what affordance means. Yes the game doesnt really explain what it does to the player. I should have added an instruccions or help panel in the menu. And the faces should be easier to visualise and identify. I thought about using words which showed their description (like +1, or +5, or -15) instead of faces but thought it would take too much time to set it up properly and nicely.

I cant even believe its tour first game
just make the game goal cleaner and you are good!

Thanks! I know how to code due to university so the only issues I had were understanding how to use assets and how to use and manage the nodes I needed.

fantastic effort for your first ever game!! very creative idea and once i got the hang of it i enjoyed it! i found that once i'd built up to around 4k points i felt pretty invincible, you make a good point on the itch page that some payoff for points would be good. great work!!

4k points wth.That's crazy.

Thanks for playing! I wanted to make it so gaining and losing points was almost equal so huge amounts of points felt really earned. But the early game was too harsh so I toned it down a bit. Maybe I should have added a multiplier on whenever the penalising projectile passed through the blue part so when it hit the red part it removed a chunk of your points. Haha that might be too much.

I've really liked doing a game jam, it really lets me be creative.
