I really enjoyed the art-style and the warm, cute vibe! I think I would add some twists in the gameplay, like incorporating the jam theme a bit better.
haha thank you :3 we didnt want to do anything too complex because i was using this jam to teach my friend godot, but i agree maybe next jam lol
Really heartwarming game, I think the lack of music is a bit sad, I would've loved to hear something while jumping around trying to get back to your lover. Really pretty sprites though :))
ohhhh true, honestly i play with sound off so often it slipped my mind!
The game is really cute and works well technically.
What I personally didn’t fully understand is the purpose of the mirrored mechanic. Since both sides are completely identical, you can basically focus on one side without really needing to pay attention to the other.
I think it could be more interesting if the two sides were a bit more different, for example with different obstacles or small variations. That way, the mirrored mechanic would feel more integrated into the gameplay and a bit more meaningful.
yeah we did think of doing that but it was a bit too complicated since it was one of ours first time, I think next time for sure though!
The game is simple, and the kiss is a good touch. However, I think the mechanics are too common. Because the levels are exactly symmetrical, you can just focus on the white one and climb. This takes away the fun because it makes the game too easy.
thank you, sorry we wanted to keep it simple because I was using this jam to teach my friend godot, next time though we'll definietly be doing some more ambitious stuff!
very cute! the perfectly symmetric gameplay make it a little redundant from a gameplay perspective - but visually and narratively it makes a lot of sense and the kiss as the goal for each level is ... well... chef's kisses!
yeah we did think of making them different but in the end we wanted to keep it simpler since i was using this to teach my friend godot, and thank you hehe we mostly just wanted it to be quick and cute!
