Great art style and the music fits the atmosphere really well! The whole color-swap mechanic is a really creative take on the theme.
I think the color swaps of projectiles should be synced maybe? Since right now the warning sound effect doesn't help much + it's really difficult to get into a rhythm. Keeping track of your character + the projectiles and their current/future color is enough of a challenge; juggling multiple entities and timings I think is too much for the brain.
Anyways, good job!
Thanks for your feedbacks man, I will keep it in mind when I continue with the game development on the jam!
Very good visuals and style. interesting gameplay with color switching to dodge projectiles. It has good potential at being fully completed and publish in steam. Well done!
Thank you kindly for leaving such generous feedback! Publishing on Steam.. one can only dream, haha. Thanks again for taking the time to play our game. Cheers!
The visuals are top-notch. The ambience, character design, and UI are all high level. the glows and lighting effects are cherry on top. The movement and dash mechanics feel incredibly smooth and satisfying. You’ve also handled the 'Invincible' theme very well and the music fits the soul of the game perfectly. The game feels a bit challenging at first, which new players might notice, but once you get the hang of it and find your rhythm, the gameplay flows like butter. Great job, well done!
I almost melted when you said that the music fits the soul of the game perfectly haha even though there are definitely improvements I can still make on my side. I genuinely appreciate it.
We’re really glad that you felt everything you mentioned about our game. Feedback like this gets us super pumped! Our submitter has also played your game and had a lot of fun as well.
Great job on your end, and I hope you get some well deserved rest. Best of luck on your journey of game-making! :)
Hey, I thought you guys did a really fantastic job here. The aesthetics are REALLY great. Very polished. Audio design is good. Some of the mechanics such as the moving walls during combat make the gameplay more dynamic and interesting. If I were to offer feedback, I would say, I wish the music matched the mood a bit more. I think having some fast exciting soundtrack, for at least some parts, would really match up with the intense action-packed gameplay.
Thanks for your amazing compliments and feedback, mate.. especially the feedback about the music. The current style is more “me” than the game itself, so I think I’ll create something different.. more fast-paced, animated, and a bit more positive, rather than completely dystopian. Again, thanks for the feedback, I really appreciate it.
The game is very difficult, but visually stunning. My main issue is that the learning curve does not feel very gradual. You are thrown into a high level of difficulty before you really have time to get used to the controls, so it can feel like you are hitting a wall almost immediately. The bullets are so fast that the game becomes overwhelming very early on. That said, the game has a lot of potential and already feels very polished.
Hey RuneMoth!
Thank you so much for taking the time to play our game and leave your feedback :)
I think you bring up some really valid points regarding the difficulty. A possible way to address that might be switching from an infinite score-based system to a more structured, sequential level system with careful balancing adjustments. Alternatively, for this jam, we could have lowered the overall difficulty.
There was a lot being asked of our programmer from both the audio and art sides, so we ended up working until the very last minute. Because of that, a few bugs slipped through that made the game more difficult than intended. For example, when hitting one of the enemies, all bullet patterns were supposed to stop but since we were still tweaking things at the last minute, we missed that line of code.
That said, we totally understand your point and will definitely work on fixing these issues after the jam is done.
Cheers, and thank you again!!
