I like the 8-bit art style a lot, everything looked really cool and cohesive. I could not figure out how to pour a drink after fermenting so I wasn't able to progress but great job on the presentation and style!
Really nice art, I love the goblin he's so cute lol.
I gotta admit I was a little confused, I spent two runs thinking I was supposed to be feeding the goblin >.< I didn't even see that there was a box to my right! Maybe some arrows indicating where I can go would have prevented that.
I also kind of wish the goblin had some kind of gameplay effect, like maybe if he personally had to be kept happy to keep the barrel brewing or something. As the game stands it just kind of seemed like a waiting game; I like the idea of switching screens but there really didn't seem to be any need to switch back and forth beyond ingredient -> bottle -> box repeat.
Also mooost of the time I swear I dragged one ingredient in and a different one came out... I'd drag from the wheat and it would be a grape. Not sure if that was a bug or what, maybe I did need the goblin luck after all 馃槄
Also I the X boxes confused me at first, they look like they might be 'cancel brew' buttons rather than trash bins.
The music was perfect, it really reminded me of old 8 bit arcade games like Mappy or Tapper!
Overall nice entry!
This game is one of my favorites so far. You were able to get so much character and charm into such a game with only a few sprites which was very impressive. The goblin was adorable and the perfect addition for a game that involves a lot of waiting. Being able to go click on him while waiting on the fermenting meant I never got bored. The music and scan line effect added to the vibe too. Great job!
i wasn't able to really play because the screen was all stretched out but the art style and music is nice
Love that you went for an arcade game vs retro console! The visuals are great especially the goblin and I really like the music too. I got a little confused at first wondering where the customers were since the description mentioned handing drinks out but I eventually found the box. You might want to consider adding arrows to the edges showing where you can go but it's a really cute and fun game!
Yup! We got that in mind, but we didn't have enough time ;_;
Super cute!
Poor little goblin. This is great!
The theme is 100% hit. Goblin is cute - consider freeing him!
