This was really cute and it's amazing how much you were able to work into a jam! The cauldron effect was awesome and fun to mess with even without making potions. I do wish the book tracked combinations that didn't work as well so I could avoid making weak potions but the game was still great!

It would be nice to have a visual indicator on the garden icon when a plant is ready to harvest. Unlocking recipe by experimenting and potentially wasting ingredients doesn’t feel very rewarding in my opinion. Other than that, the game is great, well done!

This game was so cute! The pixel art was phenomenal and the cauldron effects? Fantastic! I wish I could have known some recipes before I started so I didn't have to craft so many weak potions, but the experience was still fun. Great job!

This is my favorite game from this gamejam visually! Stirring the pot to make a potion is super satisfying. There are a couple bugs which is fine for such a short time frame. Icons breaking after cancelling drag and drop is a bit frustrating, but I did enjoy the game and I would actually buy a completed polished version of it if I'd see it on steam

Developer

Thanks! I'm definitely considering making it a full game now!

Lots of fun! Clean game flow, good interactions.

Towards the end seemed to hit a bit of block. Couldn’t find anything for nightshade, and wasn’t sure who wants certain potions and how to make the ones customers wanted. This led into slow accruance of money, and night shade is expensive :D

Three+ ingredient potion making also got a bit weird, should’ve used a notebook…

Great game, pretty addicting, like the comping potions and making new potions I dont think I got all of them so if you could just tell me the recipes ;)

Developer

Thanks! Glad you like it! Currently the potion recipes are:

Erb Herb + Rue Root = Health Potion

Erb Herb + Werewolf Bane= Ether

Erb Herb + Root + Werewolf Bane = Elixer

Monster Eye + Mandrake = Sleep Potion

Monster Eye + Crow Feather = Poison

Erb Herb + Crow Feather + Knight Shade = Antidote

(There was a strength potion for the character trying to get strong but I guess it's bugged rn :< )

I like the concept, we had a similar potion seller idea for the jam. I really wanted to progress but seemed to bug out after planting the first seed unfortunately.

Developer

Thanks! I actually really like how you executed on the idea, I wanted to do a potion making system similar to yours with the stats and all that but I ended up simplifying it. Also, I got the bug fixed!

Just replayed, had a lot of fun trying to find all the combinations. I think yours works pretty well without the stats as you have the farm system and finding different combinations which make it interesting. Not sure if the audio is bugged but I couldn't hear it. I liked the cauldron movement as you feel like you are actually brewing something, but the click and dragging got a bit tiring for the farm system (would prefer maybe keyboard shortcuts or just clicking).

This game is beautiful and the navigation is so smooth. Unfortunately, I ran into a few pretty major bugs :( I wasn't able to plant anything and the sound completely cut out after a minute. When I restarted and skipped the tutorial, I wasn't able to sell anything. It looks super fun though, so if you're able to fix it, I'll make sure to come back to it!
