Gnome Quest

GODOT

Hi everyone! We’re a small but passionate indie team currently working on a project called Gnome Quest, and we’re looking to expand.

Right now, our team consists of:

  • 1 programmer
  • 2 sound designers

We’ve built a solid foundation and are now ready to grow into something bigger. Gnome Quest is a long-term, collaborative project, and we’re looking for people who are genuinely interested in contributing, learning, and building something meaningful together.

Who we’re looking for:

  • Game artists (2D/3D)
  • Additional programmers (GODOT)
  • Designers (gameplay, level, narrative)
  • Anyone with relevant skills who’s passionate about indie development

What to expect:

  • A collaborative, low-pressure environment
  • Creative input and shared ownership of ideas
  • A long-term vision rather than a quick project

As a 2D artist, I have some questions. What is your game about? And what kind of art style are you expecting? Also, is it paid or unpaid?

Hey tsukimi707 thanks for reaching out, really appreciate the interest.

Gnome Quest is a fantasy adventure game with a slightly whimsical tone, think a world built around small creatures like gnomes, with exploration, light storytelling, and some quirky charm. We’re still shaping parts of the vision, so there’s definitely room for creative input.

For the art style, we’re leaning toward something stylized rather than hyper-realistic, potentially hand-painted or slightly cartoonish, but we’re open to ideas. If you have a personal style, we’d actually love to see how that could help define the game’s identity rather than forcing something too rigid.

In terms of payment, right now it’s an unpaid project. The goal is to build a solid long-term collaboration, create something we’re proud of, and potentially turn it into a commercial release down the line. So at this stage, it’s more about portfolio-building, experience, and being part of a creative team.

Let me know if that sounds interesting to you, and I’d be happy to chat more or take a look at your work!

Hi, I'd love to learn more about the project. I could help as a programmer

My discord: sebas_apa

Hey, thanks for reaching out,

We’d definitely be happy to talk more. We’re currently building Gnome Quest, a fantasy adventure project with a whimsical style, and we’re looking to expand the team with people who want to collaborate long term and help shape the game as it grows.

Having another programmer involved could be a huge help, especially as the project starts to scale. I’ll add you on Discord so we can chat properly, go over the current progress, and see if it feels like a good fit for both sides.

Looking forward to speaking with you!

Narrative Designer here. My discord is: steezyglockk

Hey, thanks for reaching out,

It’s great to hear from a narrative designer. Story, worldbuilding, characters, and giving the game personality are all areas that can make a huge difference, especially for a project like Gnome Quest where we want the world to feel memorable and full of charm.

We’d definitely love to chat more and learn about your experience and ideas. I’ll add you on Discord so we can talk properly about the project, the direction we’re aiming for, and see if it feels like a good fit for both sides.

Looking forward to speaking with you!

Hi Signup Studios!
My name's Adriana, maybe this could be off-topic, but I am an Italian freelance video game localizer and if you’re considering expanding your game (when it will be ready or in future) to additional languages, I’d be happy to help with Italian localization, including in-game text, UI, store page... I hope to cooperate with you in future! ^^
If you are interested you can contact me on Discord: adry_00_ or by email: adry00wolf@gmail.com

Hi Adriana,

Thank you so much for reaching out and for your kind message,

It’s great to hear from someone involved in game localization, and we really appreciate your interest in Gnome Quest. Expanding into other languages is something we’d absolutely love to explore in the future as the project grows, and having someone who specializes in Italian localization could be incredibly valuable when the time comes.

We’ll definitely keep your details on hand and reach out when we get closer to that stage. Thanks again for taking the time to message us, and we’d be happy to stay in touch.

Wishing you all the best, and hopefully we can work together in the future!

Thank you for you very kind reply!
I'll wait for your updates about the game so, and good luck! ^^

Hi! I’d love to contribute to Gnome Quest as a music composer, and also help with sound design if needed.

I’ve been making music for several years and I work across different styles, so I can adapt to the tone and atmosphere of the project — whether it needs something adventurous, emotional, dark, playful, or more ambient.

I’m especially interested in indie projects with a long-term vision, where collaboration and creative growth matter. Your team approach sounds exactly like the kind of environment I’d enjoy being part of.

If you’re interested, I’d be happy to share some of my work and talk more about the project.

Thanks for your time!

Hey, thank you so much for reaching out,

Your background sounds really interesting, especially being able to work across different styles and adapt to the tone of a project. Music and sound play a huge role in shaping atmosphere, emotion, and identity, so having someone versatile and collaborative is something we definitely value.

It’s also great to hear that the long-term vision and team-focused approach stood out to you, because that’s exactly the kind of environment we’re trying to build, a place where people can grow creatively while making something meaningful together.

We’d absolutely be interested in hearing some of your work and talking more about the project. Feel free to send over anything you’d like to share, and we’d be happy to continue the conversation.

Thanks again for reaching out!

Hey, sorry for sending another reply, I’m not sure the previous one went through.

Thank you so much for the kind reply, I really appreciate it.

I’m glad to hear that, and I’d be happy to share some of my work with you. I’ll leave a link below with a selection of tracks I’ve made that I feel could work well as soundtrack material for games and different atmospheres.

Thank you again for the opportunity, and I’d be happy to talk more about the project anytime!!

It’s great to hear from a 3D artist. That could be a huge help for Gnome Quest as we continue building out the world, characters, props, and overall visual identity of the project.
