The physics-based interactions with machines were very fun, and once I got into the flow of things it was not too hard to figure out.

I'm guessing the recipes are random? Sometimes it was just to take the ingredient and put it directly on the elevator, so it felt a bit inconsistent in terms of difficulty progression

I liked it a lot! Very enjoyable gameplay and I liked the relaxing cosy atmosphere. I think it would be great on VR. Cheers!

Loved the atmosphere and running around the room. Like others I struggled with understanding how to get everything rolling, and also could have used a more distinct crosshair to help me point at things. Very nice submission though!

Couldn't figure out what to do but the character controller was fun to mess with. Audio was nice, I like  the music and the interaction SFX. It would be nice if there was a tutorial teaching the player how to use each machine, and one for basic interactions with objects (making a level where putting a potion in the bucket is the only goal). Also, I think having the recipes in a book would tie in with the setting as you have bookcases that aren't really used.  The amount of customizability of keybinds (and other settings) was nice for the accessibility of the game.

Really cool idea, I like the whole potion brewing setup and the physics-based interactions. The atmosphere is nice and the music fits well too.

I did struggle a bit figuring out what to do even with the instructions, and interacting with objects sometimes felt a bit tricky (especially needing the camera at the right angle). I also had a moment where items disappeared and I wasn’t sure why.

That said, the concept is strong and you can clearly see the effort put into the systems and details. With a bit more clarity and polish, this could be really solid. Nice work overall.

Yeah, I hope I've learned a lesson on playtesting these kind of mechanics. I became developer-blind to the gameplay, thinking they felt intuitive because it worked how I envisioned. I definitely need to gather feedback much earlier in my development cycle. However, to do that, I need to make the games faster! Either way, thanks for giving this one a go.

As others have said, the atmosphere and the concept of the game is solid. I would love to see what it would be like if you had another week to work on it.

I really liked:

  • The ability to customize the bindings and all the different settings available
  • The How to Play in the main menu/pause menu.
  • The recipe slide-out
  • Sprint!
  • (edit) Forgot to mention the music was on point!

Things I struggled with:

  • Even with the how-to I still had a hard time knowing what to do.
  • having to position the camera just right to interact with anything.
  • potions just disappearing out of my hand and not knowing why.

Overall, I think you did a great job.

Thank you for the kind words. I ended up spending more time fudging around with the physics-based stuff than I intended to, when I definitely should have been spending more time figuring how best to make things playable. If I had another week, I'm fairly certain I would have just spent more time fiddling with the map...! As it is however, the game definitely needed more work overall. Thanks for playing!

nice but i did have a lot of trouble knowing what to do and it was sometimes really finicky with the hoveriing over objects

Developer(+1)

Howdy, thanks for playing! I know that the instructions are a little flawed and the physics ended up not really hitting how I wanted them to. Even still, thank you for trying out my game!

This game might be too complex for me 😅I definitely see the vision of what you were going for and was cool to run around the space and use the tools on the different ingredients. I  was able to pit and juice the Papaya,  but then I wasn't sure what to do after that. The simulation aspect of this game is really impressive.

Howdy, thanks for giving the game a chance. I appreciate the feedback, and yeah I definitely needed to do better with explaining some things! I feel like a little diagram telling the player what machines do what might have helped. Either way, thank you for playing and giving feedback!

That would be awesome to have a diagram in the room. Then I would feel like I’m learning whole process and it’s on me to explore the knowledge of the room. I like that idea!
