Polish did really well, and can feel excitement from the BGM and game, but it's missing a game loop.

I think game will be better if player starts as a larvae, explore the room to find food to grow stronger, and slowly transform into a beetle, then lay eggs, and start again as a larvae.

I really like the darkness fog mechanic, its really well made.

I know you're aware that it's not exactly cozy, but I got a huge laugh the second I started up your game. After playing all these gentle cozy games, yours kicks in like pure high-octane chaos XD. The track was awesome, I was honestly just headbanging for a while after hitting play lol.

The fog-of-war style effect on the board was cool, especially how the older areas darkened based on your movement through the level instead of just distance or time. The fire particles added a lot to the chaos, the dash felt good, and the shots had a lot of weight to them. The whole game has a really over-the-top energy, and all those little details helped sell it.

Neat little action game! Wasn't sure what was happening all the time and the screen shake was a bit much but very intense!

Music is awesome, controls are satisfying and sharp, and overall I found this to be a really snappy fun game. :D There's a lot of stuff going on screen which is definitely fun but it's really hard to tell what's good stuff and bad stuff! Like i'm still not too sure if the cocoons are like hearts or bombs...? So definitely some more visual hints and sound effects to reinforce what is hurting and helping you would be good. And I'm not sure if I'm supposed to avoid the vertical fire lines or if they're just decorative. It just needs a biiit more clarity, but I definitely had fun playing it!

Unexpected but pretty fun. The movement felt great and I love the little beetle animations. Only found out that I can shoot about 5 minuets into the game and that changed everything. With a bit more development time and polish I can see it becoming a really good game!

It's interesting. You can run, you can shoot, the music is right in the theme)

I'm not sure about the engine, but I was wondering what kind of checkered grid appears in the upper-left corner of the character?

Thanks, it's Godot. I had a college field day and forgor when the jam finished, so the game is buggy.
