Fantastic! Great visuals and love the head detachment mechanic xD Definitely got the Samus vibes, nice work on that. Z and X so close to my keyboard had me accidentally popping head off a couple times but attributing that to my -8 dexterity

Awesome game. Felt like Samus from Metroid dropping bombs rolling around.

That was a deliberate inspiration here, yes! XD

Hey, very nice game! I blew myself up in the end, though... but that was on me.
I'm glad I got to play it (thanks for exporting it for web in the end!). Very entertaining, with a cool story and characters. It's impressive that you managed to make five levels with several endings!

Developer

I'm embarrassed to admit the game was mostly content complete by the original deadline - I'd made the final level and endings, I just hadn't completed (or begun work on) the fourth level. Still, once I got over my procrastination, I got to add sound and other polish to the rest of the game (the bit with the room full of zombies in level 3 was always there; the bit where a pair of them were literally trying to tear down the door was not XD)

I managed to beat it, but I got the bad ending (ending 'D'), so I feel compelled to try it again later for a better ending :3

I think this was my favorite game so far!! :3

You have--

A Narrative WITH MULTIPLE ENDINGS, SFX, Music,3D Animations, a custom environment, varied gameplay, a fun UI, a 3D Character model, several 3D Enemies, and 5 3D levels of content in just 45 days.

You are nothing short of incredible for managing to pull all of that off in such a short period of time!!!

Honestly, you've really outdone yourself this time Ryusui!!!

Good stuff!! :3

Ended up being closer to 55 days (I spent a lot of my early dev time spinning my wheels trying to get things like the zombie behavior to work, and I procrastinated on getting level 4 finished and the sound implemented until right before the voting deadline), but thanks!

I think my next game will probably be less of a hybrid - the TPS stuff ended up a lot clunkier than I was hoping it'd be (even if it gives you a nice view of Miri up close XD)

I tried 3 times now and haven't been able to get past the room with the red railing. Your partner mentions that there are "guns" behind the bugs in the previous room but I've never seen anything like that.  I've tried grabbing my head through the door of both sides of this air lock but had no luck and I cannot leave this room where I entered from  with or without my head.
Great game though, I think having on-screen controls UI would really help, I was in the boss fight for 2 minutes or so before I had to open the start screen to see if there was something I was missing because shooting it without TPS mode wasn't doing anything, and I never had any clue her head had mines until I did it by complete accident.
The 3d health UI in the corner is super cute and I love it :D

Developer

Yeah, I messed up and forgot to move Miri back to the start of Level 3 after testing. I'll get it fixed (and the final level implemented) after Ludum Dare 59 this weekend.

Now updated to 1.0 with the full five-level complement and music/sound!

I didn't understand how exactly I got through the game :/

But it was fun :3

Thanks! I'm hoping to get the remaining content in soon.
