Loved it- great fun! Music fits perfectly as the tension cranks up. Bonus points for being under 13k - you managed to cram a lot of goodness in!

Unfortunately almost unplayable on Firefox with bad performance / heavy input lag.

Then I tried it in Chrome, where it plays great. Overall very well done and I’m quite impressed that it’s only 13Kb in size

Thx. I am working on an new version that also runs in Firefox. The rendering engine of Firefox has severe perfomance issues with large canvas elements. I didnt know that before :-)

Cool visuals and audio, quite impressive work on a 13Kb project.

Very polished game with smooth controls. One suggestion - when the vehicle hits one of the AI controlled vehicles they should also slow down.

What a great racing game. I can tell there was a lot of thought put into this one with the customization options and the multiplayer option as well. The controls were perfect, very easy to adjust to and it felt the way a racing game should. Wish you could have gotten around to the sfx, but that's ok. Very well done!

Super nice! I love the stacking effect on the sprites. And it’s so very “Micro”!

The main issue I have with car games is control and yours are very nice, well done!

Great game! The driving is amazing and the music fits the game perfectly

The car handling feels great! I also really like the tire marks and exhaust effects left on the map. It’s amazing how much detail you packed into just 13KB—really cool!

Hi! Streaming your game now:

As always, you deliver a very cool and impressive game in <13 kB. There might be some nostalgia involved (I love Micro Machines!), but I really like this one. The driving feels very responsive and the crashes provide the right amount of punish. The AI is also very fair and balanced: You need to drive well to beat it, but it is not too challenging. I know it is difficult to put it in 13 kB, but some sound effects (motor and crash sounds) would have really added to the experience. The text in the UI was missing some spaces (at least on my computer). Congratulations to this very cool game and that you created the most micro Mirco Machines on this planet :D!

Thx, for your flattering review!

I totally agree with the missing SFX, and i planned to add it using WebAudio and a modulated Oscillator for the engine-sounds, but ran out of time. (And space, haha)

I did not catch the missing spaces, but now as you mention it... The spaces are missing around the <B> Tags... This must be the result from the minification-process, haha

I got to drive an SUV on what felt like an F1 track. Nice... Kind of wish I could have gone rogue and just made my own track.

I'm impressed with the 13kb size.  Especially since the music was good and the controls were also solid. The machine AI is a beast though.

I'm glad I scrolled down to see what was up with the 1fps on FireFox.  Tried it on Edge and it was game on!  I like the feel of the controls, especially on the hairpin turns.  I think you dialed in the right amount of rotation.  I also loved the tire tracks.  It's a small feature, but gives the game a lot of juice.  I didn't really like how the car reacted to hitting the edges of the track.  I expected to slow down a bit and maybe have the car turn slightly, but I sometimes spun more than 180 degrees and sometimes got stuck temporarily.

The control + camera position made the game a bit challenging to me. Aside that, everything was on point.

nice game! Car feels really good to control

I like the way the tire tracks look! (ツ)ノ

Once you get the hang of it, the controls become easy to use, and the curves on the course were just right!

Very nice, and impressive in 13k!  I played a race or two against a friend, I love to see local multiplayer games in jams =).  Controls felt good, except one point where our cars got stuck on top of each other for about a minute :D.  I wish there was slightly more gameplay, maybe just a refilling boost meter, or speeds high enough that you need to brake around corners or something.  The cars, track, smoke all looked wonderful, I like the style!

This is crazy, not sure I could make it in 13 Mb, and here you made it in 13 Kb. Great work!
