Maximum recommended players for coop

Hi,

Just recently got the game and already went through the rules and I am preparing all the figures. Its looking great! (Will send a pic once its done). One question about playing coop/multiplayer:  As each person's main character would bring a coulple companions each, that would make 9 player figures with 3 players and I imagine it can get crowded quite easy with each additional player. Has it worked well with 3 players? What about 4? What would be a good recommended number of maximum players?

I would only recommend one or two players, honestly. It gets pretty crowded even at three.

If you decide to go to three or four players, you might consider running a two player game and splitting up the heroes and companions among the players to control. That keeps the model count manageable and the combats quicker.

If you do decide to do a full game with 3+ players, I would recommend adding at least one more dungeon tile to generated rooms, too, just to give a little elbow room.

Alright. Make sense. I undertood this: If 3 or more players are playing may be a good idea that either 1 of them uses some of the companions or bring in more rooms. Maybe another alternative to bring more players:  there could exist an equivalence of how many companions equal 1 player character (e.g. 2 companions = 1 player character), so instead of having the third person use companions, each player may bring less companions, but allowing to bring more players (e.g with 3 players, each player brings only one companion, resulting in 3 player characters and 3 companions, but using the ajustments as if there were only 2 players)... I have not tested that, its just a possible idea

Yeah that could work too, but might also require some enemy adjustments. You’d have more powerful characters but fewer actions a turn and more concentrated damage targeting each character because it wouldn’t be “spread out”.

If you try this route I would be curious to hear how it goes!

yea, make sense. I think I will try this option at some point, so yea, will let you know how it goes.
