Use of the limitation
I made a game in which you have to go fully YOLO to survive - cause you have one life and you need to fight for it (I mean you have to swim very fast) - it's tough but doable :)

Cookies eaten
like a 4 or 5, not that many, however I ate like 3 packs of pringles

That was super fun! I really like the pixel art you made for this. The game definitely wasn't easy, but I really enjoyed the risk vs reward of speeding up vs carefully navigating, and the fact that you can still pick your oxygen back up after getting hit. So there is a good reason to be towards the bottom of the screen because you get more room to avoid, but you can also be towards the top to have more chance of catching your bubbles back up. Very well thought out!

Hey, thank you so much for your appreciation of the game and gameplay itself, it's very nice to hear :). The pixel art is however not mine, I used free assets - it's good that you mentioned that, I added the credit list to the description to not confuse anyone.

The pixel art looks a bit blurry. I guess you didn’t set the photo type to Point in Unity.
I haven’t really mastered the game’s mechanics and only reached 1500.

Developer

You are right, i haven't. I guess I need to check it out. Thanks for the recommendation!

Was able to reach the surface with 4 air bubbles left, but I cheesed it by staying in the bottom right of the screen. The music was cool and I like the sharks, they kind of remind me of the swordfish from Donkey Kong Country. Well done!

Developer

Thanks! Still not easy task, even with staying in corner :P

Nice work! The graphics could be better but overall it's nice little game ;)

Thank you!

Neat concept! The player and enemy sprites are a bit blurry, but the designs do look pretty nice.

Developer

Thank you!

The game is very fun, it took me a while to finally get to the end, but one thing I think would be good is to add some kind of parallax to the background, it'll make the sensation of swimming up more realistic.

Developer

Thanks, I will get deeper into the paralax topic :)

YOLO!

Really took me a lot of time, but found a strat in the end!
I would've loved a theme song that was a bit more uptempo but did love the end aesthetics.
lower left corner gang rise up!

That is actually great score, congrats:). Thank you for your tips!

The idea is solid and interesting, but the game feels a bit unfinished in terms of polish. It also doesn’t fully follow the limitation, since you can take multiple hits and still keep progressing. Still, the core concept is promising.

Developer

Thank you for review! I took the limitation very freely, as I associated it with the saying YOLO and it became the main theme of the game. Thanks again for noticing some advantages of the game :) It's my first game made from scratch.

Idea is good, but the game is very unpolished, i can skip the playing part by picking a corner a swim up, maybe u forgot to implement the LIMITATION: ONLY ONE LIFE, we have multiple lives in your game. :( The game can be very interesting if you work a bit more on it on polishing it :)

Developer

Thank you for your comment! I know about that corner cheese, but I  was short on time with submission, maybe i'll get that fix later. The limitation is not about the life itself, it's about the speed while in yolo mode - you only live once ;).

Submitted

Ohh  i didnt notice that, you implemented the limitation in a pretty nice way :D

Also do try and rate my game and give a feedback please :)
