Take care of the alien. Each death (hibernation because he was too cute to kill) is the end of a run

None yet. Going to make myself a chicken drumstick now because I have been staring at and tweaking css for the past 8 hours.

Very cool aesthetic! There is a lot going on here visually which for some people might be a bit distracting. But overall its outstanding work.
What language did you use to make it?
Nice vibe!
I feel like you could've made the mini games more challenging or put some pressure on it to spice up the gameplay a bit but I did really like the variation and loved the soundtrack/SFX
The minigames do get more difficult as you go through stages, as well as some new minigames unlocking after certain points. But I agree overall they are way too easy
Great concept and very fun! Great work! I even managed to reach top 3 on the leaderboard.
Top 3 is crazy! Good work.
What was your favorite and least favorite minigame?
My favorite was the one with typing on the keyboard because its was the hardest xd and least favorite was the one with pins with same symbol on them.
i think this is a good basis of something, i enjoyed it but i feel like the response and feedback is something lacking, because i was getting through it without really thinking of the options that i was taking, but i think with more varied minigames and a bit less visual clutter this could be interesting
I just updated with more minigames and progression difficulty scaling if you want to try again ;)
The art is beautiful! And the mini games are actually super fun. I'm really impressed! The dashboard you made is really pleasing too. Awesome concept and great execution!
It kind of reminds me of the game Reigns, but with space which is cool. I could see this being a full game if there was some more progression, and maybe you didn't know exactly what each card will do (would make it less mathematical and more vibes based)
I like your idea, the game loop was pretty easy to grasp as well. Some notes I took during play :
- I like that I can choose my name. Say hello to Sammy!
- The beat challenge was my first, I had a hard time timing it correctly. It felt like I was doing it right. Got there in the end though. Probably a skill issue on my part.
- The bacteria game was a bit confusing. Dragging worked fine. But click didn't seem to respond. The I started spam clicking and it did respond, but I accidently clicked a 'card' on the next screen this way.
- I was missing both warmth and oxygen, but those options always seemed to counter each other. + warmth - oxygen and vice versa
Overall a cool concept. Presentation could've been a bit cleaner imo. The choose a card options in particular didn't stand out to me, so I had to search for them the first time I got to that screen.
Nice job on the jam, hope you had fun :)
Hey Sammy! Thanks for the detailed feedback.
The beat game timing is based on the start of the beat. Maybe that was throwing you off? Also the heartbeat sound plays exactly when you need to hit it.
I’ll take another look at the bacteria game. I did notice there was an issue if you happened to drag a little instead of just clicking, which is definitely a bug
Warmth and Oxygen do counter themselves in the 1:1 upgrades, but there are other upgrades that give each and don’t cost the other. (Does that make sense? Probably not) Ex. +Mood +Oxygen -Glow
also, congrats on getting on the leaderboard ;)
I fixed the issue with the bacteria minigame and updated :)
thanks again for the feedback
