I have crushed everyone here by having the WORLD RECORD pacing in finishing this game.

While the game has no timer, you can calculate your time based on the position of the oxygen bar with respect to the word "Oxygen". I got to "y", which is the current WORLD RECORD

World record run starts at 10:02

That's awesome! Way faster than I ever did! :D Didn't even know you could skip the final asteroids like that!

Really nice little game! The graphics are good and the gameplay is very smooth. I like this concept of zero gravity crystal. Great job! :D

Submitted

Really original idea and I absolutely love the artstyle of the assets. That hand drawn feel really makes the game feel like I'm in another world

Submitted

The art is absolutely gorgeous, the controls feel smooth and "floaty enough" for a space environment. It's also (unintentionally?) hilarious when you get bonked by a rock and the little man just faceplants

Submitted

ouch ;)

Developer

Tough to recover from! :D

For some reason the rocks/meteors being affected by the gravity threw me off, but in a good way! I think having the player keep the same amount of momentum when in zero g would have been nice but not a big deal. Art is nice and cohesive, well done!

Developer

Thank you!

Typically I feel anti gravity in games just makes the player floaty, but this was an interesting take on anti gravity by making it a tradeoff where you lose gravity but also control. I wish the game was a bit longer with more puzzle sections.

You just made me realize I'm lucky that there's basically a timer on the game, cause there's a permanent memory leak (i.e. nearby "rock spawners" keep spawning rocks without limitation)! :D

Submitted

hahahaha, sounds like a problem that fixed it self to me!

Super charming game, loved the gameplay but the gravity meter needs to chill, as in the beginning of the game, where you are reading the controls and when you collect the crystal.

Submitted

Nice to see another game with an oxygen meter you have to keep an eye on! I really liked the zero gravity mechanic being momentum based instad of giving you a constant speed. Having some SFX would have been nice though.

Cool Game!

I like the gravity mechanic, it is bouncing very funny back and forth ))
Like the handcrafted art too. Good entry man

Submitted

Nice hand-crafted art! I liked the zero-gravity concept. Bouncing around between rocks is fun :)

If you need music or sounds for your game: https://opengameart.org/. Very nice game. Good concept, good execution, and good length for the timer (the oxygen): I did it just in time the second time. Did you do the pictures by yourself?

Developer

Yes, I drew it all myself! The goal was indeed to add sound, but we ran out of time!

Submitted

Super cute and nice idea! I like it

Developer

Thanks!

cute artstyle

Developer

Thanks! Hand-made art! :D

Very fun game! The added 0 g mechanic was cool, made me feel like a ping pong ball. Fun concept and good execution

Developer

Thanks a lot!

I think it was "deep" and in "deep space"

Developer

Thanks for the feedback!

Regarding the character controls: Fair enough. I think the controls in normal gravity worked well, but we ran out of time to fine-tune the zero-gravity movement.

Regarding the theme: The idea is that you escape from a deep cave, but the idea was lost a bit since the level became more horizontal than vertical. While working on the game (and already having the idea of an astronaut in a cave), I thought that "deep space" would fit as well, but that was not original intent. :)
