Nice work! I was really impressed by the way the lights on both sides gradually turned on when entering the shooting range. Though the small enemies felt pretty hard to hit — not sure if that’s just a skill issue on my part.

Developer

Thanks for the kind words! The most effective way to deal with the small enemies is to punch them, just press F.

I gotta say, really good entry. I had alot of fun

I really love how smooth the controls are, and the graphics, it crafted an amazing atmosphere for the playing experience. Currently the progression feels a bit slow, might be because of my skills, but is a quite simple game to pick it up, and requires tons of time to have a decent progression.

Smooth controls, I could not last too long since I get dizzy with 3D first person game, but that is more a motion sickness issue than with your game, impressive work

I really love the mix of classic Doom and Vampire Survivors! Shooting enemies and choosing upgrades after each wave is very addictive. Great job for the jam!

Wow, 3D-style pixel art! Very nice! Above all, it runs smoothly, and the loading flow after entering a stage is stress-free, which was a great reference! (ツ)ノ

Really cool one, I only got mad at the music in the workshop, don't know why but i really disliked it. But the gunplay is pretty good, and all the possible upgrades and combinations are quite nice. Also I thought the small enemies are a bit too small, hitting them with a shotgun is really hard.

Good game, always fun to shoot enemies :).

It was fun, congratulations!

I did not hear any sound or get any visual signal, when enemies attack from behind. Overall cool FPS game.

Nice game! Small enemies are a bit annoying hehe. Very well elaborated!

Really enjoyed this game. Really loved the aesthetic and the audio design. The gameplay reminded me of DOOM.

I think a lot of the tutorial and lore is text heavy. Could be more fun if it is more interactive.

But overall great job!

Pretty impressive. This game was hard but still fun, though try as I might I only managed to pass wave 5 once. Skill issue, for sure. Though realizing I could punch the smaller enemies did help. Though I must admit it's a bit of a grind for those of us who suck at shooters, I never got enough gears to buy more than the cheapest upgrade.

Also, this was made with Vite and three.js? I'm always interested in the different engines and frameworks everyone uses.

Developer

Thanks for the thoughtful comment. I'm aware that earning Gears is a bit tough, especially early on. We definitely had some balancing issues. I can't update the game right now due to the voting period, but once voting wraps up I'll push out a balancing patch. And yeah, punching is a lifesaver. It works great against the small enemies and every melee kill also restores some HP.

And yes, we're using Vite and Three.js.

Very fun game. You have a ton of upgrades, i never tried them all but the ones I used felt unique from one an other which is very impressive for a two week game jam. Enemy animation would have been really nice as it would have just added a bit of personality to the game.

You nailed the retro control feel. The game felt snappy and responsive how I remember quake amd unreal tournement feeling. I found out about the punch way too late and it was a game changer. Id love to see this game with more time if you continue to work on it. Great work

Liked the retro vibe. it reminded me of playing games like frontier on the amiga.   Good music.  Solid FPS.
