That was such a smooth transition from just stamping documents to actual gameplay. Really smart use of the stamp as the main mechanic! The graphics were also really cute. Overall, a really good game, especially for a 48h gamejam!

Good. As polished as it gets for a game jam game. Maybe I got the impression that this was too railroaded. I know that the fate of Hannibal Barkas is something already written in the annals of history, but seeing some consequences of my narrative decisions in the beginning minute could be great.

Yooo this was very cinematic! :D I really like the use of the stamp in the gameplay. Visually it is really pretty and I’m amazaed by the sheer amount of art that is in there. I think I encountered a bug where I couldnt break the tree in front of me nor kill the eagle. But other than that it was really fun!

Great game, when the paperwork faded into the actual gameplay, I was like "WHOAAAH that's so cool!" It actually reminds me of that one scene from game What Remains of Edith Finch (anyone who played it knows what I mean). Was it your actual inspiration? Or is it just a coincidence?

Developer

Actualy it was the main inspiration for one of the team members who pushed for more a narrative experience, but the rest of us didnt knew it and just found the concept cool:D .

Were you inspired by this song by any chance? :D

I enjoyed the *thump* of the stamp.

I did not enjoy when I got stuck at the wrong side of the barricade :(

Cool theme, you have my stamp of approval!

Developer

To be honest,  no one from our team knew the song, but I am quickly adding it to my music list. One of the barricades didnt have a collision, which was a crude anti softlock:D but we are glad you enjoyed the game anyway

very nice looking game fun to play it just felt like it was rushed a bit

Game jam game rushed?:D never   Anyway I know what you mean, some parts didnt get tight enough, glad you enjoyed the game anyway:D

I feel like it is missing a second half, but the production value is superb ;)

This is a very nice-looking original game. I love how complete it feels and how the unique mechanics are polished. It also tells  a great story. Great job!

Developer

Thanks:D

Really interesting take on the theme. I’d love to hear the thought process that led you to making a game about Hannibal being annoyed at paperwork, that’s very original. The stamping mechanic felt very satisfying too. Are there multiple endings? I could only get one, but maybe it’s just a skill issue on my part. :)

Developer(+1)

Nope, there’s only one ending.

The thought process behind the theme was one full of woe and infighting in our team about how the game should look like, hence the admittedly bizarre concept where the dream sequence overlays the tent scene :D It was very fun to make!

For what it’s worth I think it’s a marvellous if unexpected idea for a game, given the theme we were given. The next time I’m brainstorming ideas during a game jam I’ll think of this game’s idea as a role model for creative ideation :)

I want more!! I enjoyed it; it has interesting gameplay. Sometimes I forgot about the storytelling while playing, but this is one of my favourites here <3

Developer

Thanks a lot:)

This might make me rewatch oversimplified Punic Wars series! Great game!

Developer(+1)

oversimplified hannibal served as the inspiration for the character design:D

Love the idea with a hand and the game is great overall. The interaction is really joyful

I cannot image the monster that would kill an innocent elephant. Truly despicable behavior.

10/10 no notes, would smash again

I loved the story telling :D Maybe the ovelay made me a bit dizzy, but other than that I enjoyed your creation :3

Thanks:D, we shall pretend that the dizzyness is part of the narrative design

Well done!
