Use of the limitation
You are King Ziusudra, ruler of the Water Kingdom. When Nergal and his pestilent army invade your city you are faced with a choice; Do you flee with your people, risking their lives? Or do you stay and fight so that your people can have time to safely depart. Facing certain death, you choose only one life :). Plus you literally have one life.

Fun game, i found the main weapons too slow though, i ended up beating the game by just dashing and slamming which was fun.
The art style is also pretty simple but pleasant to look at, overall good game, just lacking some polish👍
Thanks for playing. The dash slam was a fun mechanic to make so I'm glad it saved the experience for you!
There's a lot to be discovered here! Really fun once I got a hang of the controls.
Nice work :)
The overall presentation is really nice! The menus and the animations are all smooth and satisfying. Also, there's also an impressive amount of mechanics implemented for the time we had, well done!
Fantastic game! The character and enemy design is great and the same goes for the different abilities and evironment, especially the moon. I did sometimes clip underground for a second while dashing downwards, but I got ejected back up afterwards so it's not really a problem.
Thank you so much for the bug report! I will look into the clipping now. My guess is its an issue with the water animation's hitbox extending past the players origin point (where his feet would be). Ill see if I can figure it out!
And thanks so much for playing. Glad you liked the evil moon haha.
Nice! Like some others said, the dash felt good, and I love the moon art :)
Thank you for playing! Congrats again.
Really cool game! the controls felt very nice, especially the dashing felt really sick to use. The art, ambience, and music are all really nice too! Nicely done!
Thanks for mentioning the Music :). One of my favorite aspects of making games is making cool music and sfx so that means a lot. And thank you so much for playing!
Cheers!
Really fun little game!
The gameplay is definitely the strongest component here.
I like how you approached the jam's limitation, even if it felt a bit simple.
One thing I noticed is the balancing, the player has a ton of health! I finished the game with 99,500 HP left out of 100,000, so I only lost about 0.5%.
Plus, the player's attacks deal so much damage that the poor enemies didn't stand a chance!
Regardless, it’s a very entertaining mini-game.
Nice work! :)
Oh lord! I forgot to put the HP back to normal. That was for me testing the game haha.
Hey thanks so much for playing and for reporting what you felt was off, because you are indeed correct that was not my intention.
Really appreciate it! much respect.
Hahaha no worries it happens when you have such a short amount of time to make a whole game!
Sure thing <3
The game is really engaging, the sound, art and gameplay is smooth. But I think info about controls isn't mention correctly, to select a power upgrade we need to press Enter or Space but the game said 'R', idk what was that for, but it didnt worked, also i got some text on top of screen which appeared for a very short time i couldnt read it what it said but maybe it was telling to press 'C' to dash but dash happens using Shift key. So figuring out controls was a problem, other than that the game is good.
Thanks for playing! I appreciate it.
I looked into the issues you mentioned. So I think the 'R' you saw is actually the letter "A" haha. This game supports Xinput/Gamepads as well as keyboard and mouse. The text you saw is just a hint, and the 'C' key is to close the dialogue. You can view every hint from the pause menu if you miss one!
Some input hints update dynamically based on the detected input, but I didn't have time to update them all. Which I agree is confusing. Not to mention, Raylibs default font can sometimes be a bit tricky to read.
Oh okay, Great Game other than that. :D
