Hi, just played and rated your game.
What a fun quircky concept! Love it.
I did very much enjoy all of the puns as well.
I failed the 3th episode. To be honest, I wasn't really sure about my 2 first answers either, but somehow got them right.
Nice entry!

Woah this is really well made! The writing is spot on, and the concept is really original. Love the characters and ambience. Really well done on this game! These poor little fish have feelings too :'(

Developer

They do!! I had a lot of fun writing it! Thanks for playing <3

This really stands out between all the submitted games! I don't know if it's just an issue I have, but the audio is a bit scratchy, especially during the bubble transition when starting and ending an episode. Everything else is still fantastic!

P.S. How can I get gray pearls?

Developer

Hahaha I’m so glad you enjoyed the game!! I think the audio issue is a game bug, not your system, don’t worry! I’ll get a hotfix in quick!

Also, there is no incentive to get grey pearls because that’s the reward you get when you only partially find the deep truth, called a “Shallow Truth”. It will be left on the bar table instead of the shining pearl if that happens! Since you’ve only ever gotten shining pearls, I guess that means you’re an incredibly good listener hahahaha

Again thanks for playing!!!

Love the concept but found it maybe a bit too hard, apparently I didn't listen to the hermit crab well enough ^^'

Developer(+1)

Hahaha thanks! I plan to make the mixing easier to understand so that interpreting the character dialogue comes a bit more naturally.

Really cool art style and concept! I did like how you have to go through their stories and understand the character and the art style itself is just really nice, The animations are fluid so good job on that

I will say it was a bit unclear when mixing the drink, I don't know why but I couldn't understand how to do it, like which to use for the root cause and the one to use for the effect. I might have missed it during the reading section so I do apologize if i did.

So overall I really liked it and would love to see this expanded. Also just curious, the other episodes show locked, is there  only one episode or are there more?

Developer(+1)

Thanks for the feedback! I definitely realise it's a bit unclear... I was planning to add ingredients assets for some flavour (no pun intended)!
There are other episodes! All 9 of them are done! Once you've finished an episode with the "Deep Truth", it will take you back to the menu and the next episode will be unlocked!

Oh I see, it didn't show me that for some reason it just kept showing it as locked, I'll try again to see if it works.
