I really like how immersive this track is. The intro does a great job of setting up the unsettling atmosphere before the melody comes in. The melody is cool, and I like the sense of tension that runs throughout the whole piece :)
Great submission, sounds very cinematic and I love it. The composition is rather straightfoirward but it does make it super efficient, and it's really immersive.
One thing I'd like to point out is that there is very little of the melody. I usually encourage scarce use of the melody, because I think the buildup to the motif is also part of what makes it good, but here I don't feel as rewarded, as the melody stops before it can develop all the way, which is a shame because I really was digging it.
Melody clarity 4/5 (The use of the diminished second does sound weird sometimes)
Melody impact 3
/5Composition 4/5
Listenability 5/5
Correlation to theme 3/5 (Would've loved a more elaborate description or worldbuilding)
Maybe the track could've gotten to the melodic a bit sooner as this is a Melody focused jam, and over half of the track is more in the ambient cinematic orchestra side without much melodic material.
But when the melody finally comes it's really nice! One thing though as it is currently is that its the same melody repeated twice pretty much verbatim, I'd maybe recommend having the first time around end on a downwards motion instead of the rising one currently, since it feels a bit jumpy as it jumps back down to the start on the repeat and then having that exact rising motion repeated again at the end of the repeat makes it feel a bit less impactful, but if the rising motion is only at the end of the repeat that would really feel like the final high point of the melodic section that then goes back to the mellower ambient stuff.
Just my subjective feelings about it, but still really good work!
Very ambient in the beginning but honestly those little string melodies made it worth it the wait. Gave me some Westworld vibes. Loved this.
Very interesting... It's kind of like Borderline Intense, Borderline Ambient... Maybe it's Suspenseful, that's what I'm trying to say IG... Anyways, very nice song!
I like this composition and the vibe it creates. It has a very ambient feel to it.
The melody wasn't as forward and clear for the sake of this jam, but the composition was generally very good.
Really solid work.
Pretty cool stuff! Mix-wise it's a little quiet and there's a sound around 2:27 that my ears don't quite like. It also took a while for me to grasp where the piece was going - In the beginning section, I felt very lost until the melody began. As for that, I found the melody part interesting and mysterious :)
