Some small bits of code were taken from previous personal projects (e.g. highscore system, outline shader). The flying enemy sprites and the plant cannon sprite were drawn before and adjusted during the jam. Absolutely no generative AI was used.

Just wow. I almost can't believe how good this is. I don't think I have any notes!. Looks and sounds great. Immediately engaging without being too difficult, but ramps up really smoothly. The roll out of weapons is really satisfying and really scratches that itch that wants to multitask without being overwhelming. Truly truly impressive. I'm coming back to improve score later!
This game is great! I have no but one complaint - the first flower is just a little bit hard to click. That's it, everything else is perfect. The music, the art, the scene transition, the plant growth, the variety of bugs (enemy bugs, not code bugs lol). Like, wow. I am genuinely speechless!
A very impressive and polished game! Art and audio are both top-notch. It took me a minute to get the hang of the gameplay (maybe it needs a short playable tutorial?) but then had lots of fun with it! Thanks for jamming with us again :)

Such a solid entry. Great art and animations, smooth gameplay, fantastic audio... what more can I say! I personally found the first point of plant defence - the spinning "pea shooter" type a little tricky to use, but that's definitely on me and not the game itself. Also, I didn't make it to the leaderboard as I kept hovering over enemies to read descriptions, forgetting to defend my plant.

I take your ban threat as a compliment 🤣 But success wasn't guaranteed, I can tell you. Had my times of desperation for sure. This was all far outside my "static assets" artistic comfort zone. But the encouraging words of Jo and Pff and a "just start create something" attitude helped to get things rolling.
Love the idea , love the art, love the gameplay. Gave me a lot to think about forthe next game jam.

The concept is simple but super effective! The plant growing and evolving looks hella sexy and feels great to fight enemies with. I am a little sad that some sprites and quality of life features have been made before the jam, which is the only reason why I can't give it the full 5 stars by my own rating standards. Music & audio are banger as always. Overall, Super Sexy out of 10
