Nice work; I really like the art in this! The story was hilarious, with the bug causing all kinds of problems. I get what you are trying to do with the jump feeling weighted, but it makes the movement feel kind of unresponsive. The animation that played each time you died, with the bug dragging you in got a little annoying too. I wasn't really sure what the oil did. Does it allow you to save yourself if you fall? Does it let you jump higher? I never really figured out the magnet either. Only got that far once. The world you made is really cool, and with some refinements, I think the gameplay could be really great too! Great job, keep it up!
Glad you liked our game! You can read more about the mechanics with machine oil in the game description.
Thank you for playing our game and giving us feedback!
Very innovative, especially with the animation at the stage. I enjoyed the gamplay, well done.
Glad to hear that you liked the storyline and enjoyed the gameplay :).
Thank you for playing our game, I hope you had fun!
Interesting storytelling
Glad to hear you liked it :).
Thank you for playing our game!
Very nice game and cool interpretation of the theme. I really like the nice graphics, the funny story and that you added some light puzzle elements into the platformer (for example that you need to realize that you can push down enemies). Platformer mechanics are always tricky to get very smooth and need a lot of tweaking. This is maybe what I would also recommend to spend your time on when you continue developing this game. There is for example "Coyote time" which could be implemented to avoid that jumps need to be timed perfectly.
Congratulations to this beautiful and funny game!
Glad to hear you enjoyed the game! The game features machine oil mechanics that directly affect how you move :). Interesting thought about "Coyote time", now I know what it is :), however, I don't think it's necessary in this game, as there is an oil mechanic.
Thank you for playing our game and giving us feedback, I appreciate it!
This game has a very cool idea! The oil mechanic is unique and makes jumping and moving very interesting. Playing as a small gear is a great concept. Good job!
Glad to hear you liked the idea! It's also nice to see that you appreciated the innovation of the gear and machine oil, as intended :).
Thank you for playing our game and for your feedback! I appreciate it!
You nailed the world build concepts of your game. You had excellent narrative pacing throughout the game. You music is also a stand out as well. As a platformer I think the controls felt a bit slippery but i feel you made up for it with generous sized platforms which gave your game Mario 3 vibes.
Also i am puting together a best sound track ost for this jam and id love to include your game on youtube if i have your permission. Your music really captivated me in your game.
Glad to hear your high praise! It's especially nice to hear about the plot, we tried our best to make everything harmonious, where the plot and the game complement each other and thereby even better reveal the theme of machines, where the graphics and music further deepen, emphasize and create the appropriate atmosphere ;).
I'm glad you noticed the slippery steering, it's made that way on purpose, depending on the oil level - the higher the oil level, the slipperier the gear, the longer it stops, but at the same time it moves faster and jumps higher, and vice versa. In the end, this is how machine oil works :).
Regarding YouTube, I'll get back to you on Discord.
I produced the music for the game...thanks for your nice feedback!
Fun little platformer, great intro too. Music is well done and the controls are tight.
I'm glad you liked the intro, there's also an outro, since part of the game only takes a couple of minutes ;). It's also nice to hear feedback about the controls!
Thank you for playing our game, I hope you had fun!
Looks so good.
Thanks for the game!
Love the intro and storytelling. The game is tricky (I'm rubbish at platformers) but a lot of fun!
It's nice to hear that you liked the introduction and the story! As for the game, it's finite, it's only a few minutes long, after which the climax of the story awaits you :).
Thank you for playing our game, I hope you had fun!
The intro is hilarious. Well that's how it happens, bugs get introduced when you go make a coffee.
The outro is no less funny ;).
Thanks for playing!
Thanks for playing our game!
I played yours too ;)
I loved the audio and the story and world building in this game!
Thanks for the feedback!
I'm so glad you liked it :).

Great work! A lot of love and effort was put into the cutscenes and it shows. Gameplay could use a checkpoint perhaps as I got softlocked and had to replay a dozen times. I get the point of having your jump height and speed affected by oil and or health, but it does prevent you from climbing some blocks and making any progress.
Yes, we really tried to do our best, it's nice to know that people notice it :)
In fact, I almost implemented the checkpoint auto-save system, but unfortunately it was right before the end of the competition, where bugs started to appear, which there was no time to fix, so we rejected this update.
So some parts of the gameplay involved intentionally restarting from the last checkpoint if the player didn't make it before the oil ran out, to better expose the oil mechanics, but time waits for no one :).
Thank you for playing our game and for your feedback, I appreciate it!
It’s a clever idea to incorporate “bugs” as a theme! Just a heads-up: I found a glitch where you get stuck if you keep running into a wall while falling. (ツ)ノ
It's nice to hear that you noticed and appreciated the topic of bugs, they live with us as much as machines ;).
Thanks for finding the glitch and sharing it with us, I appreciate it!
Thanks for playing and feedback!
Really interesting gameplay mechanics. Excellent execution. A solid title. Everything about the game is genuinely engaging. I will definitely write a review. 5/5
I'm very glad you liked it, we really tried to do our best :).
Thank you for playing our game!
Good story with nice atmosphere. I understand a lot of effort went into creating the intro, but making it skippable can help to get started quickly (especially if it’s the second time playing the game.) The theme is well presented.
I'm glad to hear that you liked the plot, the relevance of the theme, and the atmosphere in which we tied it all together. We tried to make all the parts as harmonious as possible and in accordance with the theme!
You're right about the skip after first playthrough feature, it was in the roadmap, but unfortunately time waits for no one :). However, we managed to implement pausing and restarting the game part ;).
Thank you for playing our game!
Interesting game. I liked the graphics and music and the atmosphere it created. I ended up playing it twice so it would have been nice to able skip the introduction on the second attempt. I hope that you continue to develop it after the jam is completed.
Oh, you actually played the game twice from start to finish, meaning you beat the game part? I'm so happy if you did!
You're right about the skip after first playthrough feature, it was in the roadmap, but unfortunately time waits for no one :).
We tried very hard to make everything look harmonious and meaningful, to create the appropriate atmosphere, glad you appreciated it!
Thank you for playing our game!
From the start, it really piques your curiosity with a narrative experience that feels quite expansive. The art is nice, and the music instantly draws you in, enveloping you in its atmosphere. I got intrigued by the little bugs appearing throughout. I tried clicking on them, thinking maybe I was supposed to, but I couldn’t tell if I was doing something wrong.
Glad to hear that the story interested you!
The bug is just part of the story (its culprit, like any bugs in machines ;) ) after which you have to beat the game to complete the story.
Thanks for the game!
Love the music. and i think one comment has already mentioned it but, it would be great to explain some of the concepts in the game like what oil does and sort. I believe the game would be super polished and fun to play if its not limited to time.
Thanks for the feedback on the music!
Yeah, music is fire :).
As for the gameplay, I added some description to the game page, because as you correctly noticed, time waits for no one ;).
Thanks for playing, I hope you had fun!
