I like puzzles in this game!!. But at first I was a little confused, but once I got the hang of it, the game was fun.

The retro style and story setting is really interesting. I like the circuit connection mini game here. Some ambient sound (like the machines' humming) will be great. Nice work!

Really interesting game, well done

Interesting game!  I like the integration of the story with the little puzzles.  The puzzles seemed too simple (once I figured out which dots were implicitly connected to other dots, the solution was just lay things out vertically anywhere without any real choices involved...), I'd have liked something that let me try different things or optimize in some way (maybe just being able to draw arbitrary-long wires, or the pieces had some other constraints or some where larger or something).  It took me way too long to get the password (due to it being case sensitive and not seeing what I was typing :D), but after that it was smooth sailing. Visuals for the world and the puzzles were both nice.

Yeah, I agree and the puzzles ended up being more proof of concept not yet fully fleshed out. My initial idea was to have more component types and maybe forcing the player to have to switch between looking at the board and the schematic which would be more complicated to decipher with the extra part types.

Some others were damaged boards with pinholes or rows disabled. I like your various sizes and shapes idea.

Ah, yeah, damaged boards is a great idea that'd fit the theme of the game really well, I could see that working!  Never enough time, I guess =)

I really love the storytelling style and concept! It took me a little while to figure out what to do at first, but once I got the hang of it, the puzzles and narrative were very interesting. Adding a bit of guidance at the beginning would make it even better. Great work!

Developer

Thank you, I’m glad you enjoyed it.

It’s funny because when I was making that beginning computer sequence I had it in the back of my mind that I needed the “on ramping” of the player into the game better.

Fun little game. Might have hit a bug at puzzle 9? This should be a solution right?

I want to finish it... just kind of stuck. haha

Developer

Thanks for playing! Also yeah, I think I see what happened.

The first capacitor and last LED are placed horizontally within the same connected half-row of the breadboard. Since they do not cross the center trench or connect two different rows/nodes, both leads are electrically on the same node.

On a real breadboard, that bypasses the component: there is no voltage across it, so the capacitor/LED is not actually part of the circuit path.

I had plans for a little tutorial to explain this, but ran out of time.

I really dig the retro vibes here. Reminds me of the classics, small but polished. This has a lot of potential 5/5

I really enjoy the game bro =))))

I was in for a "shock" when I discovered that there was actually a puzzle game in here above and beyond the point and click starting page. fun! could use a better rotation control tho.

Developer

You think having to hold left-click and press R to rotate a component is to awkward?

I could see that being the case. How would you do it differently?

Submitted

the awkwardness was empirical - it didn't always rotate. was never clear if it was my understanding,  or the game.

Developer

Ah, I see. Thanks for pointing that out. Definitely a bug I missed during playtesting (which there wasn’t nearly enough of).

Submitted

if it's click and HOLD that's probably why.

I love this game! I cleared all the stage and want more :) The balance of difficulty is good. Maybe it will be better to add some BGM and SFX.

Developer

Thanks, glad you enjoyed it!

Yeah, I had all sorts of plans for music, sfx, more puzzles, deeper narrative, but ran out of time.

I like it. At first It was confused and I don't get what to do but once I get thet story and puzzles It become an interesting experience

Developer

Awesome to hear! I had hoped to implement some kind of basic tutorial, but ran out of time.
