This genuinely has a lot of potential. Hope you plan to continue it after the jam.

I am not able to start the game

Both the inventory and the retro graphics (semirealistic + animations) are well put together. Polished and interesting game. Great job!

I was surprised by the inventory system. You put a lot of work into developing the game.

I will definitely leave a review. 5/5

I’m not sure how to proceed with the tutorial (see screenshots). I think I understood the main loop, given enough experience with automation games. There is a basic loop of mine-crush-process, and a progression through buying blueprints. Also, a Satisfactory-like vending, where you can sell and buy any resource and building.

I think it would be good to have a “sandbox” mode, where there is no tutorial and no blocked blueprints.

I seem to be stuck at the same place - it doesn't seem possible to buy the Crusher blueprint, as it "requires earlier blueprints", however after buying all (2) blueprints that require only ore, I'm left with only blueprints costing Iron or better, and no way to get iron...

You can see it in the sound design, the vibe, and the colors. Everything reminds me a lot of the early versions of Factorio. I really like it and think there's a lot of room here to evolve in this kind of retrofuturistic aesthetic, which is pretty cool.

It feels like I'm playing an alpha version of factorio. It's a lot confusing, the tutorial needs to be polished. But overall a really good game. Also I love the graphics.

Pretty impressive for a two week game jam! The Crusher L1 blueprint requires a previous blueprint to unlock, but I never found which one.

What a complex game, really impressive! I think I've collected all the blueprints you can exchange with the unknown ore, but Crusher L1 still says it needs an earlier blueprint to unlock. Did I miss something?

It was a bit difficult to understand but i got a hang of it. Really impressed that you managed to make a world generation in such short time.

Thank you for the feedback. I understand that it can feel a bit difficult at first, but I am glad you were able to get the hang of it. I really appreciate your kind words about the world generation!

Good art ... elements fits together

Bugs

1 ... GUI main page generation feels laggy (I can not fast scroll "map size" ... wait time is required)

2 ... My item GUI could not close for some reason (if ESC is default key ... action is overridden by itch)

Visual

1 ... add sound, visual for everything user does.

1.1 . Example: hover button color/zoom changes..

2 ... checkout mipmaps and what they are: currently when I zoom out map to be maxed --> textures starts to flicker (mipmap would solve that issue)

Developer

Thank you for the detailed feedback. I really appreciate the kind words about the art and how the elements fit together.

The bug reports are very helpful, especially the lag on the main GUI map size generation and the item GUI not closing properly. I will definitely look into both of those.

The visual suggestions are also great. Adding more sound and visual feedback for user actions would make the game feel much more responsive and polished. I also appreciate the note about mipmaps, since that would help with the texture flickering when zooming out. Thanks again for taking the time to explain everything so clearly.

Really ambitious for a game jam! I struggled with the UI though, got stuck in menus, couldn't tell what "state" I was in, so some additional feedback and UI work may help.

Developer

Thank you for the feedback. I really appreciate you recognizing the ambition behind the project.

I understand the issues you mentioned with the UI, especially getting stuck in menus and not being able to clearly tell what state you were in. That is definitely something I can improve by adding clearer feedback and refining the overall UI flow. Thanks for pointing that out, it is very helpful.

Very cool. I would love to follow up on this project!

Biggest critique is that it is hard to understand at first but i dont mind that in games, i like learning the mechanics on my own. The user interface could use a bit of work too but for a jam game, very well done!

Developer

Thank you so much for your feedback. I really appreciate your interest in the project, it means a lot since this is a dream of mine.

Sorry if some parts were hard to understand. I will work on making things clearer and more accessible, especially for players who need guidance. Coming from thousands of hours in Factorio, I realize I may have assumed too much.

I also know the UI is messy right now, but improving it is a priority.

Thanks again, your feedback truly helps.

Ive never heard of Factorio so this was an incredibly unique experience for me. I am totally interested where this goes!

Developer

Thank you for the feedback. I am really glad you found the experience unique, especially coming in without prior exposure to Factorio. It is great to hear that it sparked your interest, and I appreciate your curiosity about where the project could go next.

Reminds me a lot of Factorio and the graphics are very nice! UI is quite unintuitive at first though. I like the world generation and the game is nice overall 🙂

Developer

yeaah Factorio is the main inspiration, happy that you liked the graphics, UI definitely needs some more polishing, thank you for trying it!
