Very cool game, haven't played to much minesweeper, but cool nothertheless!
Good Job! :)
Awesome game, I really enjoyed the game play. Aesthetically it's pretty consistent but a little drab. It's nice you're doing something besides a traditional horror game wish this had some UI like menus ETC, I couldn't get out of the end screen (I did die once by accident). I uploaded video apparently not the first to do so;
Thanks!
Your video is an invaluable piece of feedback for me! It's insane how much QoL stuff you can miss without playtesters (not that I was likely to fix lots of those flaws in such tight time, lol). Now I have an idea on what to work with the next time.
I did find your speech crystal clear btw, so I wouldn't worry about it too much :)
Peak Cinema
Its totally not first "horror" minesweeper concept, there was pretty similiar game in Roblox.
But i enjoyed playing your game, its short enough, its not annoying, it has minesweeper in it. peak
Well, I did confess that I got this general idea from a reddit post.
Glad it was enjoyable!
Lots of fun having a pro player in the chat and developing something for the horror guys! Really interesting concept and you developed it greatly. Stoked for more, and all the best!
I had a lot of fun with it (but then again, I love minesweeper). Clearing up the entire floor was very satisfying, I was worried I might misclick and accidentally break a wall instead of checking the radar thing... But no, actually, that was rather intuitive and I never got mixed up between the two. I also appreciate that while there is jumpscares, they never felt "cheap" (well, except one, but it felt more cheeky than cheap, it did make me jump and laugh). Sometimes you have to gamble and it may or may not pay off.
Fresh way of reusing classic mechanics!
I know exactly the scare you're talking about!
It was supposed to be a part of the (very) occasional events system that's intended to spice things up, but happened to be the only event there (and not a very creative one), heh
Glad you enjoyed it regardless!
Suuuch a great idea. I really love it. The artstyle is really nice and it all comes together. Only super minor issue, it was often a bit tricky to hit the lowest wooden board.
I'm so glad you enjoyed it! :)
I did increase the range on the axe to help dealing with the lowest board, but I feared it won't be enough.
Anyways you don't even have to destroy them as stepping over is an actual mechanic.
Ooh, how funny is that - I just never tried that :D Good to know!
