  • The way this game combines Bauhaus art with fun gameplay is really cool. It brings back that childhood feeling of building with Lego pieces, but here you get to design your own vehicle instead 😄 It’s super fun to see the physics in action with something you’ve built yourself, and it leads to some pretty funny epic fails along the way 👌 It’s also a nice touch having a button to download a screenshot of your creation, which makes it easy to save and share your designs. The overall game design fits the game jam theme about machines really well, and the music adds a nice chill vibe to the experience. One small thing: when running the car you’ve built, in some pieces you can notice a border that seems like it shouldn’t be visible. It’s a minor visual detail, but fixing it would make everything feel a bit more polished. Also, while navigating from the editor back to the level select and main menu, there was a moment where both songs started playing at the same time, which seems like a small audio bug. One idea to add a bit more variety could be introducing even more different pieces depending on the difficulty, so progression feels a bit more gradual and interesting. Overall, it’s a really original and enjoyable game. Congrats on the work and thanks for choosing Phaser!

Very fun game and brilliantly executed! Reminds me a bit of Rovio's Bad Piggies. Great job!

Wow, this is an absolute masterpiece! The art is amazing and the idea is very innovative. I am also amazed how you built a this physics heavy game with a lot of sandbox elements in 2 weeks. I cannot imagine that I can build something in this time. Here is some minor input which might improve the game:

  • I wished to had maybe a bit more instructions in the beginning. However, it was quite intuitive, after playing around a bit it was clear how everything works. I think it would be for sure good to mention the controls on how you drive the vehicle. I might have missed it, but had to try some keys :).
  • There are some small graphic glitches around the different assets. Looks like stuff from other assets might bleed in at the edges (I hope you know what I mean). I think I had similar problems with Phaser when I used very dense spritesheets. Using spaces in between fixed it.

Congratulations to this amazing game!

Not only is it fun, but it’s also educational, and I thought the interpretation of the theme was wonderful! It made me want to see the machines other players built to clear the game (ツ)ノ

The art in this game is perfect! Such an awesome entry! It was so fun to build the vehicles and come up with a custom creation! You even had the screenshot button, which is so cool! The gameplay was really enhanced by this. The challenges are really unique and force you to try some different approaches. I was a bit confused by the duck one. It wasn't really clear I needed to pick that certain item. All in all, this is a really impressive entry and something I will definitely be playing more of! Great work!

Yeah I forgot to add a check or message to tell the user to use the hook block. Glad you figured it out 😃

Your "Bad Piggies" arcade machine is hilarious! Seriously, great design. I'd say that, given the variety of levels, just like other games of this type, you don't give "all" the existing parts from the first level, but rather the most basic ones and gradually expand the list according to the level (otherwise, there would be no difference between using one block or another).
